The room was not as advertised, and was basic and not worth the price paid. Very misleading photos, raised concerns with the manager and all he could say is that it was photoshop and I can cancel through the third party- which takes 14 days so not an option at the time. The room is fine and all amenities you need are in there. but just advertised as a more luxurious stay than you receive. Some people rely on the photos of the rooms when picking from half way across the world, I suggest updating the site to reflect the room correctly to avoid any other upset customers. Overall the staff were friendly, including security guard and location ok. Right near Abu Dhabi mall.

Fabulous! This is a great room. very spacious and clean, with beautiful views from the window and a very large comfortable bed. I booked a room a few hours before check-in, even though I was very warmly welcomed and quickly checked in. the service is excellent. I definitely recommend it

the overall experience was really good for its price. I think the only downfall of the stay was that the door knob inside the washroom door and the lock part of the front washroom doorknob fell off after a few use but it was not a big issue for us.
The place was very peaceful. No outside noise can be heard from the inside but I'm not sure about the inside noice if it can be heard to the outside.
Despite the amenities provided in the room, we recommend you to not cook and just buy food from the Malyali restaurant located at the opposite of Booze Bar. Their food is really food. they also deliver food to your room. their normal shawarma is the best. Most recommended on their menu.
Also, bring an universal adaptor that is applicable for Type G sockets because the sockets in the room are all Type G plug sockets.
We were able to get lucky by borrowing an adaptor from the front desk and the man who was on shift was too kind enough to lend me his personal one so that I don't have to buy a new one from Baqala.

Very good hotel! Room: spacious, comfortable bed, clean linen. Yes, the equipment is not new, but everything is working, there is a washing machine, clothes dryer, microwave, kettle. There is a supermarket nearby with a very large selection, you can buy groceries and cook. There is an excellent beach not far from the hotel, a wide coastline, clean water, few people. You can get anywhere from the hotel by bus. The hotel has a gym, we visited it in the evenings. We stayed in this hotel for 4 days, then headed to Dubai. I really regretted that we had planned more days in Dubai, it would have been better in this place, and a couple of days in Dubai.

Came back to EP after 3 years after Covid and I enjoyed my staying a lot. Staffs were helpful and friendly in general, but they were not those sweet sweet kind… just friendly, maybe some people would find them rude…
Anyway, the package was super good and good value for the price. Many activities were included.
Basically you could spend all day in the hotel without going out…
I enjoyed their fine dinning restaurants: 1.Hakkasan-modern Asian fusion, if you like typical Chinese food, not the right one… 2.Broadway-western, American style… loved their cauliflower salad… steak was okay, maybe I ordered wrong one, should have tried the wellington… but staffs were super friendly… 3.Lebanese Terrace-somebody told me it was the best Lebanese restaurant in town, so I went have a try. It was so good… but the staffs were not friendly… 4. Vendome-the best breakfast buffet in town for me… (tried Park rotana, St Regis, Conrad, four seasons, rosewood, W hotel, Hilton… )still think it is the best one
For someone who stays in the hotel like 300/365 days, this is the best hotel in abu danbi.
I found it difficult for me to stay in any other hotels in Abu danbi 🥹

Love this hotel. I stay here regularly. The location is fantastic. The staff are amazing and always so helpful and friendly. The rooms and hotel common areas are tastefully done and always immaculately clean. Love this beach and pool area and love sitting out on the deck at night for a drink or a bite to eat. The setting and views are incredible - a really nice ambience. The food and drink is delicious and reasonably priced. Overall, it’s my favourite hotel and always stay here when I come to Abu Dhabi.

GGuest UserThis is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Me and my husband are very picky about cleanness. The hotel met all our expectations. Super clean, elegant, cozy. The room was big with a magnificent view. I loved the shampoo and conditioner, made my hair so smooth and shiny. Breakfast was so delicious, the quality of the food was very good. I loved the bird outdoor which protected our food from the crows. The dinner buffet was very nice. So many varieties, we enjoyed a lot. The staff was friendly and polite. The beach is one of my favorites, very clean and cozy. This is my first time ever to leave a hotel review. I have no enough words to describe how amazing our experience was. We will definitely go back. The hotel is 1000 out of 10. Thank you!

IIkin NassirI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Marriott Downtown Hotel in Abu Dhabi and I must say,it was a delightful experience.I booked a twin bedroom on the 19th floor and I was incredibly pleased with the spaciousness of the room.It was not only big but also impeccably clean,providing a comfortable environment for my family.
One of the standout features of my stay was the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff. They went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met,which made the check in process smooth and welcoming.Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our overall experience.
My kids also had a fantastic time during our stay. The hotel’s amenities are well suited for families and they enjoyed exploring the facilities.
Overall,I had a wonderful time at the Marriott Downtown Hotel and I can confidently say that I will be returning on my next trip to Abu Dhabi.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and family friendly stay!😍

The hotel facilities are relatively old, and there is no special children's play area. This is not a big problem, the biggest problem is discrimination against Chinese people! ! !

Then we went to pick up the food. After picking up the food, another waiter (blindly guessed that he was Indian) came over and said that we couldn't sit here, this was the area responsible for the swimming pool, and we needed to sit back in the restaurant area. We said okay, abide by the restaurant rules, and sat back immediately. [Let me explain here. The restaurant has two rows of tables outside and two rows of tables at the swimming pool. The table we chose was the third row from the outdoor tables of the restaurant, that is, the area next to the restaurant]
While we were eating, no one asked us what coffee we wanted [generally, people abroad will ask you what you want to drink]. At this time, four foreigners came and sat at the same table in the same row as the table in the swimming pool area that we had selected before. Then the waiter who told us that we could not sit at this table was attentive to serve them tea and water, wipe the table, and took the initiative to help the four foreigners choose dishes from the self-service selection area to their table, one trip after another.
Because we have driven to more than 10 countries by ourselves, we know that this is obvious discrimination, so we were very angry, especially my husband.
My husband called the waiter over and asked why we could not sit there, but others could. The waiter said the same old thing: That is the swimming pool area, we can't sit there. We said we can not sit there, no problem, but why can others, please explain, he couldn't say why, so we went to find his manager.
The manager also couldn’t say anything, except: (1) kept apologizing to us and (2) told us that we could sit wherever we wanted. I said it wasn’t a question of where to sit, we could sit anywhere, but we just needed an explanation as to why we weren’t treated equally. I said it was because we were from different countries, because we were Chinese, right? So discrimination? [This word is a very serious word in foreign countries]. He said no, and apologized, but in the end he didn’t give us an explanation.
The second thing: Every day a waiter would come to our table to ask for our room number, but he would not ask the white people sitting at the tables next to us.
The third point: The manager of the breakfast restaurant was dressed in a suit, which was different from the waiters. The manager only served white people attentively and never asked about us. I remember on the third day, I wanted to have a cup of coffee, but no one came to take care of me. I waited for a long time and had no choice but to go to the coffee machine to make a cup myself [in better restaurants abroad, you need to raise your hand]. At this time, the restaurant manager who had not appeared at our table for a long time appeared and was very unhappy. He said, ”Madam, just tell me if you need anything, please return to your seat.” I said that because no one cared about me, they all went to serve white people! ! !
Really, we had breakfast in this hotel for 4 days, and because the baby was small and ate slowly, we would spend an hour in the restaurant every day. The hotel manager really never cared about us and only served white people! ! ! [Not only did he not serve us, but he also did not serve other Chinese people] This was our observation and personal experience in the four mornings, so this hotel really discriminated against Chinese people very seriously. I gave him two hearts because after all, there were some patient and enthusiastic Middle Eastern waiters who were very good to my daughter.
I think it's amazing, because there are many Chinese staying in Shangri-La, Shangri-La should feel friendly to Chinese people, after all, it earns Chinese money! However, this hotel earns Chinese money to discriminate against us Chinese.
In addition, I want to say that in my many years of overseas experience, if you feel discriminated against, then he is really discriminating against you, you are not an illusion. When we encounter discrimination against Chinese people, we must speak out loudly, without making a fuss, and give a reasonable explanation! !

BBalajismaI stayed 4 nights in this hotel, exploring Yas island theme parks with my family, the hotel was under renovation, I booked a room with marine drive view, but I don't think this hotel has this category as per location of the hotel, they upgraded me to sea and pool view, rooms are okay and bathroom was not so comfortable, u get hot water even when we turn for cold water, anyway that is all manageable, breakfast was good, pool was amazing, please take a note that they allow only swimsuit in the pool, not swimsuit material dress, all good and recommend.

GGuest UserThe hotel is well priced for what is offered , it is a little out away from the hustle bustle , but ideally located within 15 mins from corniche and 10 mins from grand mosque.
Rooms are clean modern and good sized .
The staff are amazing and ready to Assist all guests, our experience at this place was excellent for the short time spent as it was just to rest during a long flight lay over. A big thank you to Rehmet who’s was of great Assistance. Taxis are available outside the hotel and hotel staff are Always willing to assist getting a taxi from the hotel. .
