The idea itself is good, but the management is not organized. The reception and cafe are terribly outdated. The pool needs to be updated. The situation in the room is better, but there are stains on the walls, furniture damaged by floods and curtains that do not close (they need to be rolled up and wrapped with tape in the middle.

I am a solo traveler and I was looking for a hotel to rest after my crazy stopovers throughout Zanzibar. The entire hotel team took great care of me. I didn't lack anything. The room was spacious and beautiful with the swimming pool and the small garden. The area is very wooded which means you can come across friendly little animals. Thank you again to the entire team at The Résidence hotel for all the care taken during my stay.

The service was splendid, the receptionist was so gentle and understanding. Their restaurant service is top tier. I won't mind staying there again on my second trip.

First of all, the advantages here are designer hotels, design with great care, rich characteristics, everywhere can make blockbusters. There are also many shortcomings. First of all, the location is remote and the price is not cheap. Except for the hotel itself having two kayaks, there is no sea exercise. The beach is not good, because there are fishing villages nearby, so it is dirty and there are many rocks. The food was exquisite and too delicate, leading to a little bit of food not enough. Unexpectedly, the fishing village next to it can buy the seafood that local fishermen catch every day. The price is incredible. I bring my own hot pot base to help the hotel process, which is absolutely satisfying for the stomach of the food. The hotel is built on topography, up and down are not very friendly to families with children, suitable for couples to travel

Beautiful sunset, good bar & meals, Amazing facility (literally everywhere is more than great) and nice hospitality. I should have booked here at least 3 nights. If you want to stay near famous beaches, then tourist attractions are not in walking distance, but you dont even need to go, staying in this resort is perfect enough. GOOD VIBE!!

Pros: The hotel is in a good location, the sunset is beautiful, the plants are beautiful, like a big garden. The soaj is very comfortable, facing the sea. Cons: The room facilities are a bit old, the service is average, the mini bar and sunset wine in the room are charged items, the signs are not clear, we thought they were free items, and the cost of calling a taxi for the guests is very high. Overall evaluation: The hotel is average, not worth the price of more than 3,000, and the cost performance is not high.

It’s a very nice hotel nice location. Food is great at the restaurant. The room is very clean but there was little hot water so we couldn’t fill the bathtub. The service needs to be enhanced, we arrived but no one there to take the luggage so I had to carry them. The cleaning lady came to our room an hour before the check out time and she put her cleaning stuff in our terrace. Jembe the pool boy was very friendly he showed us around the hotel and took some good photos for me and my wife.

This hotel deserves special attention, especially for those who would like to have a premium vacation, but are limited in budget. The villas are luxurious, spacious, all privately located with a garden and private pool. You can't see or hear your neighbors. It reminds me of the Maldives, only there such rooms cost thousands of dollars. The territory is large, well-groomed, very clean, it is pleasant to walk along it, those who take care of it deserve a gold medal. The hotel security in the form of Masai warriors is very unusual, it adds its own twist. Panoramic open-air restaurant. The views are stunning. The beach is clean, private, there is no one except hotel guests, the sand is white and soft. The ocean is clean. The time of the ebb and flow of the tide is convenient. The tides are early in the morning and after lunch, when the sun is no longer aggressive. Perhaps there is not such a variety in the choice of dishes, but it is delicious. Freshly squeezed juices for breakfast. The staff may not be as well trained, but this is reflected in the price. And still, a big thank you to them. I really liked it and highly recommend it.

The hotel is good, with a very sense of design, a reasonable layout, and a clever design. The service was good, the breakfast was very good, and the dining atmosphere was very comfortable. The hotel is in the village, so you can go shopping as soon as you leave.

Fun beach is an amazing place , the ambiance amazing, the staff is amazing and the food is really nice .I would highly recommend it to anyone . 9/10

Отдыхали в этом отеле с 25 по 27 ноября , номер комнаты 4. У нас произошла крайне неприятная и не допустимая ситуация, знакомая женщина работающего персонала в этом отеле ,владелица маленького кафе «Dida» по имени Ruth обманула нас, кинула на деньги- это у нас называется обман и воровство! Она предложила нас отвезти в Джозани манки Форест, мы договорились, что поедем на маленькой старой машине и экскурсия под ключ, обойдется нам с подругой - это туда и обратно , плюс входные билеты 50$!. По дороге мы заехали в аптеку тк я болела и накануне Ruth вечером приходила в отель и дала таблетку те мы вели переписку и доброжелательно общались. Утром она зашла за нами в отель и мы с ее сестрой вчетвером поехали в парк обезьян, на заправке они остановились и попросили оплатить сразу - мы отдали купюру 50$ , которую заранее приготовили , но Ruth сказала , что нет размена и чтоб мы дали еще денег - 30.000 шиллингов и что обратно она разменяет и вернёт их нам.вернет. На экскурсии мы гуляли все вместе , все было хорошо, по возвращению она не отдала наши деньги , мы спросили можно ли вернуть сдачу она сказала : «Я разменяю и вечером вам в отель их занесу !» На этом она стала нас игнорить и больше не отвечала. Вечером мы пошли сами в ее кафе, там ее не было, мы просили оставить наши деньги на ресепшн раз они там все друзья, но тоже ничего. Мы написали, что утром уезжаем и нужно успеть забрать, снова игнор. Мы услышали крики и вышли из отеля там сбоку было кафе где сидела ее сестра и сильно ругалась, она была очень пьяна и ничего не понимала, мы поняли , что она нам не поможет и пошли опять в кафе искать Ruth, просили рабочих по кафе помочь нам, отвезти к ней и объясняли ситуацию , все делали вид,что ничего не понимаю и не знают, в итоге за нами приехало такси мы обратились за помощью к персоналу отеля на ресепшен, с просьбой позвонить ей и решить проблему ибо они всем там общаются , знают друг друга и видели как она к нам приходила и что мы уехали с ней. Администратор позвонила и она начала кричать в трубку и говорить ,что мы обзываем ее с сестрой , хотя такого не было, мы общались только по переписке и она сохранена ! Далее админ сказала : что ничего она не вернет вам,что она решила с вас взять за бензин ! Те нас обманули и обворовали! С таким потребительским отношением, обманом и переобуванием на ходу за такие деньги никто не будет летать на Занзибар. Я не планирую терпеть обман и отдавать свои деньги какой-то наглой женщине, кот позволяет себе хамство и конечно в своей стране расскажу об этой ситуацией чтоб люди не прилетали и не попадали в такую ситуацию ! Позор!

It was nice and quite. Polite staff. The food was sweet and the room was big and clean

Positives first - great staff, very clean and large rooms. Negatives - beach was not usable, the hotel is not in a tourist area and is right next to a local bar/club that plays ridiculously loud music every night until 1am

The hotel is located by the sea and the sea view is very nice. But there is no beach on the beach. The food at the hotel was terrible, the breakfast was particularly small, bread, fruit and eggs. Had lunch once and it was expensive, not tasty and the ingredients were not fresh. Room facilities are old and the cabinets are dirty. The hotel has a swimming pool, but outsiders can come in and play. When we checked in, many local junior high school students were playing in the evening, and we were afraid to enter the water.
