Very pleasant, close by kings cross, perfect if you have train or flight to catch in the morning. I picked the capsule room, its spacious enough. And very bright and pleasant in the morning. Kitchen facilities is nice, but can get very overly crowded at time, do avoid the meal time if you can.

This was our second stay at the Generator and we love location! The ease of check in is great too! We went for a king size bed private room…Liked the private room but it was noisy from a machine in the walls that would kick on and off constantly and the floor was uneven in a really noticeable way. I will stay again, but this specific room was just underwhelming as the quality of other private rooms had been quieter but we didn’t like the bunk beds that they offer. It won’t deter me from another stay but was worth a mention.

The shared accommodation is well priced when you consider the bar downstairs in the vaults is absolutely banging. I had a socket to charge my phone. Only downside was top bunk so ladder was extremely difficult to use safely. The ladder was bare metal and right in the far corner of the the bunk structure. Be careful if you aren’t that dexterous.

I've stayed at this hostel a few times now and have always had a positive experience. The location is excellent—just steps away from Hyde Park and very convenient for accessing major attractions in Central London. It's also well-connected by public transport, with several Underground stations nearby. The value for money is great, especially considering the prime location. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the hostel provides useful amenities, including cooking facilities. A solid choice for budget travelers visiting London.

Overall a nice hostel for solo travelers to seek for a place to have a nice rest during their journey. The room is clean and quiet and lockers are provided for free for us to store our belongings. The common kitchen is opened for 24 hours and the environment inside is pretty nice. Worth for a try if you are traveling to London and searching for a place to rest!

Good hostel. Stayed many times. Choose room with the bathroom. Bring your own towel and lock. Good that it’s possible to leave luggage before check in for free! Socket and a lamp is on each bed.

On the first day of arriving in the UK, I had to wait a long time at customs. I called the front desk to ask if they could hold my bed until the early hours of the next day, and they kindly agreed. The hotel has a luggage storage room in the basement, and there’s also a luggage rack in the room, which is secure and safe. The hotel has an excellent location and great value for money! It’s conveniently located near major attractions and transportation hubs. The rooms are spacious and bright, the beds are very comfortable. Definitely worth the price, highly recommend!

As a solo traveler, I had a fantastic stay at Saint James Backpackers. The hostel's central location made exploring the city easy. The rooms were clean and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to offer tips and recommendations. The communal areas were well-maintained and provided a great space to meet other travelers. Overall, I highly recommend Saint James Backpackers for solo adventurers seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Not enough shower/toilet. Just one small wall fan for the entire room, I guess it's ok during winter. Unfortunately, I was there at the beginning of summer, so a bit uncomfortable at night.
