Lanta Triple Novel
4.6/55 Reviews
Upon arrival at Lanta Triple Novel, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. His hospitality truly made us feel at home, assisting us with everything we needed. We stayed in the bungalows, which were spacious and well-equipped. There was a clothes drying rack inside and another on the porch—this was the first hotel where we had ample space to dry our clothes. The porch was furnished with plastic chairs and a table, perfect for relaxing outdoors. The bungalow featured a small kitchenette accessible from the porch through a side door, which is convenient if you're planning a longer stay. Inside, there was a small plastic wardrobe for storing clothes and a mini-fridge. The only thing missing was a table and two chairs inside the room, which would have added to the comfort. The air conditioning was strong and kept the room cool. The location was very quiet, allowing us to rest peacefully. The only minor inconvenience was during heavy rain when the metal roof became quite loud. We rented a scooter from the owner at a decent price, making it easy to explore the island. Although there's a restaurant as part of the hotel, we didn't have the time to dine there. Originally, we planned to stay for three days but ended up extending our stay to four because we enjoyed it so much. The location is perfect—it's close to the beach, and there's a 7-Eleven just around the corner where you can get everything you need for your stay. It's a 4-minute drive to Saladan Pier, so you'll have an easy time catching ferries or speedboats for further travel. Overall, our experience at Lanta Triple Novel was excellent. The friendly owner, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location made our stay memorable. The location was pretty decent - its very near the viewpoint, which makes it easy to travel there especially with the walk being quite steep, you save some time and energy. It is considered to be within the main area of Phi Phi island, making it accessible to many shops and F&B. It being a 1-star hotel, expectations must also be adjusted accordingly. Cleanliness was not bad, no random stains or hair on the bed and the bed was nicely done up during our visit. Would like if they offered daily cleaning service but the cleaning service can be requested for every 2 nights stay which is still fair. Service was good, they offered us water upon arrival and when we left. There is also a push trolley service where they can send your bags to the ferries area for 50Baht which is pretty OK considering it is a 1-star hotel. Facilities wise, wish that they had hot water, it had only cold water which is refreshing on a hot day but preferred if we had the option to adjust. Please also check if your room has air-con when booking. Ours didn't have it because I assumed the rooms would naturally have it but the room we booked didn't have it. The fan provided at the maximum speed, was not cooling enough for me. I felt like I still sweat a lot in the room which is not ideal.

Very nice and quiet bungalow. It's kind of out in the middle of nowhere. You'll sleep with and wake up to the sounds of nature. The bungalows are well taken care of. Ada (the owner) is very friendly and helpful! The drive to Long Beach/downtown is a gorgeous drive and takes about 30 minutes.

This for the Robinson Crusoe adventurers in you. My cheapest expenses up to now. I got to this place with the idea to live like in a deserted island hut. I was not disappointed. I took the second cheapest bungalow. All in bamboo. No fridge or security box. Just a Firm bed and a 3 speed fan. Muskito net surrounds the bed and the jungle night sounds as well. Your next to restaurants and 7eleven so you won't go hungry or thirsty. You can reserve tickets for every activities. Rent a scooter is a must to go around and enjoy the island. Ask for Scoottie the red scooter. Is my fav. Family owners are super nice and eager to help with anything. Every bungalow has a make shift Hammack where you will find your self often relaxing. Or walk 8 min toward the beach from from any ressort entrance. The OK is not for The luxury seekers.more for the Indiana Jones type that wants to disconnect from it all.

Charming place right on a beautiful clean beach that is not crowded and swimmable. The staff are lovely (thanks, Sue!) food surprisingly good (fish BBQ!) and you can get scooters right at the place. We actually checked in to the more luxury option on this beach and then moved here instead because it felt way more friendly. Don’t come here if you want to party, it’s at the far south of all the beaches and over some huge hills to the next gathering of shops (although there is laundry and a few restaurants and a basic shop nearby). And don’t expect satin sheets or huge rooms, it is what it is and that’s a bit rustic. But for what it is, and the price, you can’t do better.
Apartel at Lanta Resort

Location was ok. To get to most restaurants a tuk tuk was needed. The hotel is split into 3 parts which was not too clear when we booked. The room we booked was nearer the road and was more of a self service room. There are rooms in between the beach and the lobby but they looked largely out of use. Finally the beach bungalows looked very nice and well maintained. The apartel rooms were a 10 minute walk to the beach. Not a problem but something to be aware of before booking. The room itself was clean and pretty standard. The hotel staff at reception were super friendly and helped us book transfers, laundry etc all in one place too.

Ao Num Mao Bay
Good room, a/c, tv, tea pot. Bed is comfy. No view from on window and view to the parking lot from the other. Once I spent the day without given water but then I asked for it and it was okay. Also when I ran out of soap, I was given a lot of everything all at once. And also hair dryer. Once there was a big cockroach but I think it’s not hotel’s fault. It has probably got inside from the street. The hotel is really close to the sea. However, this place in Ao Nang is not that touristic, so it’s good for chilling, but the closest part of the beach is mostly for boats and you’ll need to go further to find a place to swim

Overall, the stay was okay. Loved the vibe the cabin gave and its ambiance. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good (for western standards) and the pool very chill (even though it is located next to the road so comes with a lot of traffic noise). We stayed in the cabins with the fan, and even though we knew there was no airco, the cabins were incredibally hot. So hot we could not catch much sleep. The marrasses were extremely hard and very oncomfortable. The temperature in the cabin itself raise so high, that during daytime you could not stay there. So, overall, nice stay, just know what you can expect.

The place was kept fairly clean, there were some ants but as long as you did not leave any food out they don’t really bother you. The bathroom was huge and there was a nice little smoking area outside where you can hang out with the many cats that hang around the hotel. They are very friendly. They also have birds and one of them can talk and laugh. They are also very kind and accommodating. I asked for an extra blanket and she got me a nice fuzzy blanket. Overall I really enjoyed our stay.
