This boutique hotel delivered on its promise of a tranquil escape. My search for accommodations away from the city center, prioritizing peace and serenity, was fully satisfied. The hotel offered precisely what I envisioned: a quiet, serene atmosphere with a balcony and a picturesque view of fog-shrouded trees. It was the perfect retreat. While the hotel excels in providing a peaceful ambiance, the absence of an on-site restaurant or cafe is worth noting. Guests must venture out for meals, which can be inconvenient, particularly during inclement weather. Fortunately, a nearby restaurant, Arca's Yard, is within walking distance, offering a viable dining option. A minor suggestion for improvement pertains to room readiness upon guest arrival. While our reservation was confirmed, we experienced a delay of approximately one hour before we could occupy our room, as it required cleaning. Ensuring rooms are prepared before guests arrive, especially for pre-booked accommodations, would enhance the overall guest experience. For commuters like us, the jeepney terminal is right outside the hotel gate, so it's easy to go to the city center.

First, the location is convenient, especially if you’re traveling by bus, as it’s right next to the bus station. However, that proximity comes with some downsides. It’s quite noisy at night, with people blowing whistles and random noise from the street. What really stood out was someone blasting techno music at 6 AM—definitely not the wake-up call I was hoping for. On the plus side, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. I also really enjoyed the breakfast—there was a good variety, and the quality was better than expected for a hotel breakfast. Overall, if you’re looking for a clean, friendly place to stay with a good breakfast, Microtel delivers. Just be prepared for some noise if you’re a light sleeper, especially early in the morning.

Our stay was great! It's not walking distance to the tourist spots but all of them are within the area and hailing a taxi is not a problem at all. We also prefer not to walk 😅 But if preferred, it's possible as everything is near the area! We tried their heated pool while it rained, and we really enjoyed it! Such an experience with a cold weather in Baguio! The breakfast buffet is awesome! We love everything and their menu differs per day! The original flavor taho, strawberry and ube are such a delight! I think the only missing is cereals. First time to eat strawberry champorado! 😁 At first I was hesitant if the room will have a fast wifi for me to work. Viola! The room as a router! I was able to work with ease! We love the smart TV -- you only need to sign in your own Netflix account. We love our room view. We don't have to go to SM to see the Baguio city lights.. we already have it in the room. We have a balcony overseeing the pool area as well! We so love our room! 😍 Only thing is maybe they should add another desk or longer desk. The TV is already in the table and there is no separate desk for laptop or if you are having snacks/dinner. We asked, but they don't have a spare table. I think they can also add another chair since the room is good for two. There's only one chair in the room but when we requested for it, they were able to provide. Our room also allowed us to feel the breeze of Baguio! We can turn-off the AC and open the windows protected by mosquito net! I was just amazed with this feature! We truly appreciate their prompt service whenever we call the reception. We don't need to call for follow-up! We love them! We love that there is a bathtub and hoping they can also provide bath robes for a perfect bath! 🙏 Truly, we love to be back to SotoGrande whenever in Baguio! 🫶 Thank you SotoGrande for an awesome experience!

Location is good, away from the noisy downtown area and close to some sights such as Wright Park and Mines View. Only negative is that the hotel was always very busy with people and they could be heard from the room at night

Front desk are accommodating,. The check in is fast and even check out. Kids friendly too. However there is not much menu to choose for breakfast. Overall it's still a good place to stay. The room is big enough to accommodate 4 adults and 1 child.

Small cozy room, we had a pleasant stay overall, near to city center and bus terminal,that’s the advantage of this chalet.

Checking In: Swift and was able to check in 30 mins before 2 PM Room: About time for some renovation. The room I have booked has no view. Breakfast Buffet: Satisfying Checking Out: Took 10 minutes, they will check the room first. Overall: 4/5 Rating for me

Hotel is right beside burnham park which makes it accessible. Session Road is about 15min walk away from the hotel. Staff is friendly. 24 hour front desk and spacious parking area. Free breakfast was plated, nothing special. Hotel is quite old. Overall our stay was ok. Best asset of the hotel is the location and the staff which were polite at all times.

The location is really great. Very close to Burnham Park, City Market, GoodTaste Restaurant, Puregold, Watsons, and other food kiosks. They don’t have air-conditioner but there are fans available. They allow pets (500 per pet per night). The view is great too.

We enjoyed our short stay here, and the customer service from the staff and owner was excellent. The view and the place are beautiful, though there are some opportunities to improve the place I observed, such as the lack of transportation vehicles, which is inevitable since the transient is located on almost a mountain top. There are also some noise disturbances due to construction done to expand the place for free parking lots if you happen to bring your own vehicle there and food deliveries. You need to bring your own foods for lunch and dinner, or at least some ingredients to cook since you can use the kitchen there due to the limited foods they are offering, like silog's for breakfast. However, despite all the opportunities to improve that I found there, I still love it and wanted to recommend the place, because if you seek peace of mind, cool weather, and a mountain view, you may wish to go there; it's worth trying. Also, you will probably meet some foreign people there from other countries who are also staying in the same transient. 🥰🥰👍👍👍

They lack the basics. They o ly provided 1 pillow each for a twin bed, I requested for additional pillows kaso you have to pay extra. they did not provide slippers, no safe, nicrowave, bottled water or fridge. It is very inconvenient that you have to ask the staff to tap their card for you to be able to access the elevator. No bidet and the telephone is located outside the rooms, beside the elevator. The staff are very helpful on the other hand

Value for money for group or family. The lady at the counter is very accomodating.
