It's a resort property, but it doesn't look like a resort as it has not been properly clean or maintained by the owner. A good property gone to waste. Pros (not many): 1. Breakfast is good, with decent options. 2. The staff is polite. 3. Rooms are acceptable. 4. A good option for families. Cons: 1. The lighting is inadequate. 2. The property is not clean; plastic bottles can be found everywhere. 3. Alcohol is not allowed in the resort, which is disappointing for a holiday resort. Ironically, we found multiple beer cans inside the property. 4. The private beach is dirty, poorly maintained, and there’s no lighting towards the beach area. 5. The rooms are very hot despite having air conditioning. Since they are made of wood, it takes 2–3 hours for the temperature to become bearable. 6. We arrived at 11:15 AM, but as per hotel policy, we had to wait till 12PM as per check-in time. That’s fine, but they only provided the room around 12:15 PM. However, when we asked for a late checkout, they insisted on vacating the room by 9:00 AM. After much persuasion, they extended it slightly. 7. The receptionist couldn’t even arrange a welcome drink for 15 minutes, this is basic thing that every resort provided. 8. The check-in time is late for a resort; most hotels allow check-ins by 10:00 or 11:00 AM, but this one is unnecessarily delayed. 9. The hotel is 20 km from the airport, so you’ll need to add approximately ₹1600 to your budget for transportation.

It's a really beautiful hotel I loved my stay here the staff are wonderful and the vibe is really relaxed. I was a little tired towards the end of always being told ”we don't have that drink/that food/the chef isn't working”, and the rooms can be a little noisy but aside from this would 100% recommend.

Close to the airport. Friendly and very willing staff. Everything is manual, so make sure to give them time with check in and check out.

Hotel was overall good. The place is quite secluded and you won't find any shops or restaurants nearby. Only option is the hotel restaurant but it didn't have much south Indian choices of food. It's not easy to get transport in and out of the place. Auto can charge upto 400rs for a single trip into the town. The beach is just walking distance from the hotel so that's a plus point.

The resort is very near to jetty, plis point is its private beach, rooms are spaciois and the ambiance is nice. Enjoyed my stay there.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Matsya. The location is midway between both sides of the island and very peaceful, although it is best if you have a car/scooter rather than relying on autos. The only downside was that the WiFi was very patchy.

Stayed for 3 nights. No room service provided - room cleaning / sheets changing / water and other basic amenities re stocking . Food quality was excellent and service was good for room food orders. They charged us extra for late check out which we paid using a different Gpay account- Even after we requested at the time of checking in- late delay of information- just 40 mins prior check out time mentioned we have to pay 2000 rupees for late check out . Big hassle . will not recommend. You can pay extra and stay in good resorts .

Hotel and its staff were awesome. Luxury stay as mentioned in make my trip. Pool in room as well as in hotel are also a great facilities. There is an improvement needed in washroom. Lighting was not proper in washroom and there should be a foot towel facility outside the washroom so that cleanliness may be maintained. Overall a very good experience

Spent 4days 4 nights. Amazing staff especially imran, salim and pritom. They were polite, helpful and had great networking skills (were resourceful enough to arrange stuff for us at best rates. The inhouse kitchen ”curry leaf” was superb. Everything they cooked was really tasty (far better and cheaper than some of the other famous/reputed ones like ”something different” and ”anju coco. Everything was clean and hygienic, neat and tidy. Wake up, go to the beach! sleep after spending time listening to waves and watching the moonlight create a mile long path on the sea surface.
