This was genuinely a wonderful and most special place. The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet. They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it. The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard. The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need! The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality. Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible. Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite. A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!! There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise. She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!! Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too! We had a wonderful stay. We went for our anniversary and we were very spoilt with roses and Prosecco in the room with a lovely bag of goodies, soft drinks,crisps and chocolate along with an anniversary card. I requested a room with a view and wow did we have one. Looking over part of the Brands Hatch course. The staff were very helpful. The room was clean and modern. Swimming and spa facilities were lovely and all clean. Not really a buffet person but food was plenty and hot. The hallways are a little tied but not shocking. Would recommend for a short stay.

Although the hotel room is a bit small, the facilities are well-equipped, especially the coffee in the room. In addition to the coffee machine, there are also portable brewing cups that can be taken away, which is very convenient for leisure stay. Open the door and come outside, the golf course is in front of you, and the large green area makes you feel refreshed. It is very pleasant to sit outside and read a book in the morning. The breakfast service is also super comfortable, like it.

Disappointed with the pool , dirty, no cups available for water, locks broken on doors . Floor slimmy. Room ok but dusty at the bottom of the tea station, fan not working in bathroom, Breakfast was terrible, orange juice was really watery and tasteless , plates too hot and no serviettes provided to hold , cereals were ok , no pastries very poor selection for the price , bread was cheap and soggy and when toasted burnt...yuk ! Too much pepper on the tomatoes , baked beans cheap and nasty , sausages were nice, bacon horrible and cooked in clumps so some were under cooked and some extremely crispy and salty. For the price of £17 a head , I think the breakfast was 1/5. lady staff member was very nice, polite and helpful 5/5. Sorry to say but we won't be back 😞

This was a three night ‘escape’ to explore a completely new area. Broadstairs is a lovely small old fashioned resort with bracing walks, friendly people, some lovely eateries and many places to sit and watch the world go by. Artfuls was a perfect base. Small and friendly, it is ideally located near the seafront, promenade and town centre. The staff were all absolutely lovely, extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area and good places to eat. Our room was quirky but comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfasts were excellent and unhurried. There was easy parking nearby. I readily recommend Artfuls to any couples wishing to enjoy a relaxed break in a lovely place. I would

My family arrived today the hotel around the email check in time. There was no queue and we were served right away. The staff were friendly and fun to chat with. We were headed up to our room in no time with all the info we needed for the perfect stay. Parking is free as is the pool. The pool has adult and kids hours so check ahead of time so if younfancy an adult free time ots available. Pool area had steam and sauna along with ice, pool and heated lounge chairs x2. The rooms were very clean and quiet. We had a lovely stay and plan to visit again.

Pleased with our stay, room was small but cute and recently renovated. Bed was comfy, everything clean, tasty tea, little fridge, wonderful sea view, amazing location, all the amenities needed (except for shower cap). Water pressure was good, just shower in our room was not for tall people. Getting to the room without lift is a disaster, you need to find your ways and not to get lost. Lift is often busy so it’s quite problematic to come to your room and back quickly. Parking was free and convenient. Would surely come back)

Fantastic stay in the newly and tastefully decorated Clifton Hotel. We received a very warm welcome from friendly and helpful staff, and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a great location opposite the beach with lovely walks along The Leas and also boasts a Marco Pierre White restaurant on site which has made for a definite return visit. A delicious breakfast was included in our stay with a huge choice of cooked or continental dishes and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Will be returning very soon.
