My husband and I stayed here in one of the larger posh 4-poster bed rooms for 2 nights nights. It is an ideal location, being a very short walk from the village high street, across the road from the harbour with beautiful lake views, but tucked high enough away from any street noise. And because it's a proper hotel, the room we booked was large enough, and even had a bidet. There was adequate parking, a lovely full English breakfast buffet, and a fancy bar and restaurant onsite. The only downside was that the lift was broken, so we had to climb to the top floor many times a day, and construction was taking place on site, but that was quiet for us as our room was around the other side of the building. If you're there in the dead of summer, there was no AC. (Just a heads up in case you're from the states and used to it all hotel rooms) Not currently any pool or hot tub at the time of typing this.
I would definitely consider staying here again and would recommend it to my friends. 👍🏼

I’ve booked Low Wood Bay a few times but this was the first time using trip.com - we got an excellent deal and the customer service was brilliant from both trip.com and Low Wood Bay. There had been heavy snowfall so things were a bit up in the air with whether we would be coming or not due to road closures but the staff were brilliant. Thankfully we did get to come for the night and we’d booked the spa the following day. It is one of the best spas I have been to. The views are stunning. The hotel itself is really lovely, fantastic location, extremely clean and all the staff were super friendly. Will definitely be coming to stay again and can’t recommend enough for a relaxing break.

酒店體驗相當差。當天四點多入住，給我們的房間，連前台接待自己都找不到，入住之後發現我們預訂的兩張雙人大床，而是一張雙人大床加兩張簡易單人床，去前台交涉，被告知客房已滿，第二關才有解決辦法。到晚上十點準備睡覺，發現其中一個簡易床有塌陷，翻開床單才發現少了三條木欄，再次去前台交涉，晚班經理表示自己衹是餐廳經理，衹能先給加床墊，第二天解決，結果第二天也衹是把簡易床換成鋼絲床，還不如前一晚的床墊。第二天晚上拿着不清理客房換的5鎊抵用券去一樓酒吧消費，點餐後發現買單價格和才到不一樣，經過確實，確實是酒吧價格系統有問題，但是吧枱服務生拿着菜單回來時，把菜單丟在我們邊上，遞餐時的表情也是相當不爽。虛偽的英式抱歉。這個酒店根本不值這個價錢。

The WiFi connection was quite poor, not sure if it’s because we were at a corner room, but everything else was great, very clean and spacious room, will definitely consider again upon our next visit to the Lake District

TTamuRum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself.
We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area.
Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too.
We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful.
After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks.
We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

TTamu£200 for a basic room for one night was a bit on the pricey side for me, however it was nice all the same. A few of the photos of the basic room are misleading. The photos show a four post double bed which is not the case. We found out later this is actually an executive room despite it being labeled basic.
We found out that the hotel location is accessible by bus from Oxenholme train station (despite being told the opposite) and has a great view of beautiful fields. Food in the hotel is good but expensive... My eyes nearly popped out their sockets when I saw the £8.00 charge just for the tiniest amount of table bread. I'd say this was probably the reason the restaurant was empty despite being told we need to book a table due to its popularity. Swimming pool and steam room are average for the price.
Staff are friendly and changed our room to a double bed room free of charge after mistakenly putting us in a twin bedroom.

2、自駕過來的話，和前台要一張停車卡，每天3英鎊，無限停車，有好幾個位置可以停車，其實很方便。離開的時候，可以先去停車場開車，回來的時候把鑰匙和停車卡放前台就可以。

TTamuWow!! What an amazing hotel. We arrived in the middle of a power outage, to be met by polite friendly and professional staff, we were made aware of the situation and offered a seat by the fire with complimentary nibbles, we were kept up to date with the situation throughout until power was restored. Considering the disruption, the staff remained calm and all food was delivered promptly and was delicious. The rooms were very tastefully done, well equipped and spotless, beds were extremely comfy and the rooms were toasty warm on a night that got below freezing. Breakfast was really good and we were well looked after by all of the staff. We have to say it is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and would 100% recommend The Melbreak to anyone. Well done everyone concerned

PPengguna AnonimGreeted with a lukewarm warm reception upon arrival. No assistance offered to take the luggage to the room which was up three flights of stairs that got narrower towards the top. The breakfast server huffed and was visibly annoyed and upset when I dared to ask for a second coffee! I suggest that they invest in a coffee machine instead of serving single cup sized cafetières. The family room was a good size but had fairly low ceiling beams which were pointed out by 15 signs which made the room look more like a building site than a bedroom. No refrigerator in the room and the safe did not work. The location is around 6 miles from Keswick. Nice swimming pool but access via the door to the changing rooms does not work all of the time.

TTamuUpon arrival there was nobody at the front desk so I waited. The woman I was somewhat greated by was far from pleasant and didn’t seem like she wanted to be there at all. Nothing was explained and no information leaflet for me to read through in my own time. When given my room key I started walking through the lobby but couldn’t see any signs for my room number. Went back to the desk to ask where to go for my room and was told ‘just follow it round’.
Very unhelpful and unwelcoming, not sure this lady should be at the face of the hotel.
Plus side, room was beautiful and well kept/clean. I was also lake side so got to watch the sunrise with my morning cuppa. Very refreshing views.
