We stayed here for 4 nights. I had booked a sea view room, but they said it was upgraded to a room with a jacuzzi. While the jacuzzi was nice and relaxing, the sea view was quite limited, which was a bit disappointing. The property is located in a remote and peaceful part of the island. It has excellent internet access and a decent outdoor gym. Since it is right by the sea, you can enjoy walking or running along the coast to the nearest town, Mavrikianon. One important thing to mention is that the property does not have direct access to the sea. To swim, you need to go to either Plaka Beach, which requires a minimum spend of €40 per person to use the sunbeds, or to Mavrikianon Beach, which is much more affordable at €5 per person for the entire day. Mavrikianon Beach is very pleasant and close to markets where you can buy drinks. There are also some good food and drink spots nearby, such as Rudi’s Bar, a British-style pub, and Porto Rino, which serves great pizzas. Make sure to skip Nico’s Fish Tavern and try the Ferryman instead — you won’t regret it. What we found most frustrating was the lack of mosquito screens on the windows. Sleeping with the windows open was not really an option, even though the natural breeze was wonderful. Our room had air conditioning, but we tend to get sick sleeping with it on. There was a ceiling fan as well, but it is a shame to miss out on the fresh air simply because of a missing screen. The breakfast was also a disappointment. There were very few options, the coffee was not good, and the omelettes were overcooked. The most inconvenient part of our stay was the parking system. You have to check in and out with security every time, which felt excessive and time-consuming. It gave the impression of entering a high-security zone, not a relaxing holiday resort. Overall, it was a good experience with some nice features, but for the price, it lacks comfort and convenience in a few key areas. .

The resort’s amenities are equally impressive, with a spa that provides indulgent treatments, a well-equipped fitness center, and multiple pools perfect for lounging. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing retreat or a base to explore Crete, The Royal Senses delivers on every front. The hotel’s location is ideal for exploring the island, with easy access to nearby beaches, charming villages, and historical sites. The staff also went above and beyond to offer recommendations and assist with arranging excursions. Overall, The Royal Senses Hotel is a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and authentic Cretan hospitality. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable stay in Crete. I giving this review from my previous stays at this accommodation over the last 10 Years. Its always been a pleasant and convenient place to stay. Just one complaint though. I accidentally booked the wrong dates to stay but i managed to cancel a whole week before i was meant to stay. NO REFUND EVEN WITH A WEEKS NOTICE!  The hotel Just referred me to TRIP.COM And TRIP.COM just referred me to The hotel. It definitely soured my experience with a place i have stayed at before every time i come to visit
