Industrial action to affect Avanti West Coast

- Informasi Terkait: The RMT union has announced strike action affecting Avanti West Coast services on some Sundays until Sunday 25 May 2025. Sunday 2 February: The industrial action is planned to go ahead on this day, 2 February. The timetable will be significantly reduced due to the impact of engineering work between Stafford and Crewe, and between Milton Keynes Central and Rugby on top of industrial action. Three trains are planned to run per hour to and from London Euston: one to each of Birmingham, Manchester and Preston (with a limited service extending to Glasgow). There will also be one train every other hour between Liverpool and Crewe. Trains will run during limited hours, with the first train of the day departing London Euston just before 09:00 and the last train of the day from London Euston departing around 17:00. The significantly reduced timetable on 2 February means North Wales, Blackpool and Edinburgh will have no Avanti West Coast services.
