The catamaran tour was spectacular, relaxing, and beautiful out at sea. I would highly recommend Sunset Sails. The staff were very friendly and catered to our needs with drinks and a delicious fish/chicken lunch. The views of the shoreline were amazing and snorkeling for beginners was fine.★

I took a surf lesson at Glen’s school in Manuel Antonio last week. It was amazing and I’d do it a million times again. Sebastian was my instructor and he was fantastic. I also met Glen, the owner, who provided some insight during the initial overview and he was lovely. Sebastian was absolutely delightful to work with and he is an incredible teacher. Heavy focus on safety and technique which I appreciated. Once we got in the water, I was surprised by how quickly I managed to get up. Sebastian’s guidance was very useful and he offered feedback along the way to help me improve. In between waves, he also shared some tips on how best to enjoy wildlife on Costa Rica. I cannot think of a better way to enjoy Manuel Antonio than by learning to surf from such a kind and intelligent human who is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge with others. The school also lets you borrow their boards to practice at no additional charge after you’ve completed a lesson, which is nice. I wish I could go back a 1,000 times to surf with Sebastian…definitely one of the coolest things I’ve ever done and the highlight of my trip.★

It was a lot of fun. 2 thumbs up from my teenagers and husband! Pedro helped us get a parking spot and made recommendations of where to buy snacks. Surfing guides were patient and kind. Logan, a photographer from CA (not affiliated with ***) took pictures and airdropped them all for a small sum- way better than the pictures I took. ★

Reviews: Full Day Waterfall Adventure

My husband and I cannot express enough how much we enjoyed the full day waterfall adventure with Roberto as our guide! Roberto and Gummi, the driver, picked us up directly from our hotel, Si Como No, in Manuel Antonio. We traveled to three different waterfalls all within an hour south of the hotel. Along the way, Roberto taught us about the local history, business and culture in such a personable way- it’s clear he is passionate about his craft and eager to share the pura vida way of life. This experience was the perfect blend of adventure, with opportunities to jump from and slide down waterfalls, as well as relax in fresh water pools surrounded by the beautiful rainforest. Lunch was included and consisted of freshly caught tilapia from a local tilapia farm. We ended the day at Playa Ventanas, where we soaked up some sun before the drive back to our hotel. This tour was the best part of our amazing trip to Costa Rica!
