This is our second time that we were so lucky to take a tour with Tatem's Taxi and Tours! Both times were such a great tour and so much fun! Toussaint is a super great guide, very kind and patient. We were on a cruise ship both times when we were in St. Kitts, so our time was limited. We told Tatem's tours what we wanted to see and we were more than pleased as to where and what we got to see in our time frame. On our second time back the following year we got to go and see the places and things we didn't get to see the first time. If you get the chance take Tatem's Taxi and Tours when you are in St. Kitts, you won't be dissapointed! I promise!

We had an amazing time with Megan on our tour! She was so friendly and knew everything about the island from flowers and trees to history. This tour covered the whole island and included stops at view points, brimstone hill, the Romney Manor and the Winfield estate and even a sugar plantation. It concluded with the amazing views on Timothy Hill and then a beach stop. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour or a better guide! We loved every second and never felt rushed at all. We were picked up from the pier when our cruise ship came in and the communication from the office was very prompt and professional. We were back to make the ship work time to spare. This is stress free so book it. We will be telling all of our friends to book this when they go to St Kitts.

Rogers Eco Tours was professional, top notch, and trustworthy. Bobby was our main guide and was fun, interesting, and informative. All of the group (it’s a close knit family/friend run company) were great. They gave us locally made raisin bread and punch (and our guide even shared his personal stash of fresh mango)! The view at the top is spectacular and you’ll feel very accomplished at the end of the hike. This is a very difficult trek and hiking boots are a must. Many parts of this trail involve traversing rocks and vines vertically. If you are not physically fit or have mobility issues, this hike is not for you. The trail is muddy and slick most of the year, so prepare to get muddy and to slide around on most of the trail. My only challenge was the time crunch. We booked our hike through Royal Caribbean. We knew it would be tough because we are experienced hikers (2,000ft elevation climb in 3 miles = very difficult). Our ship let us off the boat late, and therefore we were crunched for time. Don’t expect many rest breaks especially if crunched for time. If we could have taken our time, the hike would have been tough but no problem. But it’s go-go-go the whole way up AND just as tough and go-go-go the whole way down.

So much local flavor! Our party of 6 (Oasis of the Seas) booked the private full island tour in an air conditioned van. Our tour guide, Spoonie, was interesting & accommodating. He told us fascinating stories of Christopher Columbus, John Newton, the slave trade, rum distillation, sugarcane production, Thomas Jefferson’s great grandfather, and the French/British conflict. Spoonie knew the names of all of the plants and trees. So many fruits and flowers! The streets were lined with colorful homes, beautiful churches, chickens, goats, large roaming herds of sheep, mangoes, breadfruit, almonds, custard apples, and bananas. We visited several historic sights that surprised us with their beauty and interest. Ours was the only cruise ship in port, so traffic was light. Roads were well maintained. We took the advice of others to bring water and snacks, and we were glad we did. The food for purchase along the way was chips, coconuts, sugar cane, and hot dogs. And, of course, there were lots of opportunities to buy the local beer, grapefruit soda (try the pink one!) and rum drinks. So much to see and do. We would love to come back and stay for a few days at this outstanding island. 10 out of 10!

We had an absolutely amazing time on this tour during our cruise port in St. Kitts. York was our driver, and he was wonderful. He was always making sure we were comfortable and shared so much interesting information. We really got a feel for the island’s history, culture and beauty because of this tour. We started with a city tour, then went to Romney Mannor to see the batik and got amazing drinks, we then went up to the fort for amazing views. Part of our group wanted to go back to the ship after this (which was accommodated for) and we continued on to the Carambola Beach Club. We had a wonderful meal heal and truly enjoyed the water and views. Our last stop was Timothy Hill for amazing views. We cannot thank York and the tour company enough for this amazing experience!

We were our Driver Elvis’s only two passengers. As we were both early & the ship was leaving at 4.30 we agreed what was important for us to see & set off. Elvis is a lovely man & was informative & coped really well with the hazardous roads & jam caused by a breakdown at the Fort. An interesting trip. Don’t bother with the Shipwreck Bar. Too busy, scruffy & restaurant staff rude but you might see a real free Monkey & Mongoose there. The next beach club Carambola further up was fabulous but like many of these beaches you hire a bed & brolly for the day & it’s only worth it if you are staying more hours. All in all a great trip seeing some fabulous sights, getting great pictures & learning all about the culture of Basseterre.
