love is blueOur family met up with friends on a trip to D.C. on a warm summer night. The setting/location of the waterfront with outdoor seating was beautiful and enjoyable. Great view too! This restaurant has a large capacity so don't expect a different experience but as long as you're willing to share the space it's great. The food isn't perfect but good enough. You come here for the experience. I would make this a must do if visiting in the summer.

Amazing view, great location, killer drinks and fresh seafood. Doesn't get much better than this in the summer. The staff was accommodating despite the fact that we did not have a reservation and moved us from our first table which was in a location that we did not like (close to music speakers, did not wish to speak loudly). Loved Sequoia and will be going back this summer.
Some coworkers and I had lunch at Sequoia on a beautiful summer day. The patio/deck area is a lovely place to eat on a nice day. The food itself was pretty good but very overpriced. $18 for a cobb salad? There are much better restaurants in the area for the price.
Come for the view and have a drink, but don't waste your money on food or service because you won't get that here! Had to send several things back, meat was raw when ordered MR, waiter was barely mediocre. On a positive note, good peel and eat shrimp and mussels
