TTamuFür eine Nacht in Ordnung.
Das Hotel befindet sich über dem Pub, der auch ab nachmittags sehr gut besucht ist.
Es gibt dort sonntags auch Livemusik bis ca 21 Uhr abends.
Alles vollkommen in Ordnung, wenn man nicht gerade Zimmer 10 neben der Waschmaschine/Trockner hat und neben der Lüftung schläft. Auch wenn ab 21 Uhr trocknen und waschen nicht erlaubt ist,störte es sehr.
Die Hotelzimmer gehen nach hinten raus,so hat man morgens leider ebenso den Lärm der Ladezone vom Supermarkt.
Positiv war,dass das Zimmer in einem modernen Zustand war und die Mitarbeiter alle sehr nett waren.
Der Strand ist fußläufig zehn Minuten entfernt.

TTamuBooked this based on location & price. Hubby read the reviews & said it didn't sound great. I like to give things a chance & was only 1 night.
We arrived and were greeted by Julie. She was pleasant.
Our family room 212 was spacious, facing the car park.
Kettle, toaster, microwave & WIFI worked, TV looked decent gave up trying to watch anything on it, and used our laptop & phones.
Bathroom was fair, mattresses were fine, you get what you pay for, it's a 2 star motel not luxury end. We just needed a bed and shower for the night & we got it.
Pool was nice, kids had a ball, we left early in the AM.
We drove down the block and realised the bad reviews are for the EL LAGO Water Resort, which is the tourist park & that looks shady not for the EL LAGO Water Motel we stayed at.

TTamuWhat a little gem. We had a friends catch up and stayed here. It's so close to everything. 1 block from the Palm beach ferry, 2 blocks from Ettalong shopping centre. The room was clean and tidy with the usual inclusions of microwave toaster jug, tea and coffee. The beds were very comfortable and the linen was good quality with several pillows so you can choose the one that's right for you. The bathroom is a bit old fashioned, however the shower had plenty of hot water.The accommodation is within the Galleria, a Greek / Italian inspired complex hosting lots of small shops, boutiques, restaurants, galleries, beautiful nick nacks and treasures, cafes and even a hat shop. The complex has it's own movie cinema. After booking in we went to bar Toto. Very fitting with the theme of a bygone era. Comfy old style lounge chairs, dimly lit, old movies on the big screen and great cocktails, however there are several other options if this isn't your scene. We chose to have breakfast at one of the cafe's within the complex. Very good crepes and coffee, then spent some time looking at the many and varied shops. Eric's hat shop is a must. He is so knowledgeable and friendly. He can explain the process of making hats and show you some of the tools used to make hats. It was so much fun trying on hats and taking photos. We grabbed lunch, pizzas and noodles which were both very good, and sat enjoying the live music in the centre of the complex. If you feel like a stroll, there's a concrete walking path along the waterfront from the ferry to Umina. Once you have parked your car, you really don't need to start it again until you are leaving. Enjoy.

DDmitrii ChugunovWe messaged the hotel in advance about our late arrival, and they assured us it wouldn’t be a problem—just ring the bell at reception. When we arrived, there was no need to ring; we were met by a woman and an elderly man, presumably the owners. The hotel had already charged us before check-in, but for some reason, they insisted on seeing the same card again. They wanted to charge an extra $1 without explaining why. When the payment failed for some reason, the old man literally tossed the card back at us, muttering something in his thick, unintelligible Aussie accent.
The woman tried to smooth things over, asked for a different card (which worked fine), and even asked if we wanted dinner. But the guy had already ruined the vibe; we immediately went into ”defensive mode” rather than ”vacation mode.”
The room was nothing special—forgettable and plain. We disliked it more than we liked it. To make matters worse, it was the most expensive stay on our entire road trip from Cairns to Melbourne. Interestingly, the know.travel description for this place hinted at the ”unique” service style of the owners—now I see exactly what they were warning about. They’re clearly capitalizing on the lack of competition in the area.
In the morning, we discovered a shared kitchen in pretty sad condition, which no one even bothered to mention when we checked in.

TTamuRoom and amenities clean. Close to hospital which is why we were there. Also close to train station so you could get to other places easily. Affordable. Parking is good and reasonable rate. Will be staying there again.
