Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram

#bangkoktrip Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram ( Wat Phra Kaew ) is a sacred temple in Thailand of Rattanakosin in the Grand Palace, As legend says the Emerald Buddha was made in India and was taken to various cities such as Chiang Rai,Ching Mai, Lampang and Luang prabang. It is a temple built in the royal compound. it is different from the general temple in that it has a Buddhist temple area. Not only that,there are no monks staying for Buddhist Lent, but the temple generally has both a Buddhawas area and a sanghawas area. Wat Phra Kaew is a temple for the king to perform royal merit making. According to ancient royal tradition only. Sri Rattana Satsadaram temple there are a total of 7 entrance gates. In front of the inner gate, there are 6 pairs of giant statues, 1 pair for each gate,except for the gate on the Phra Wihan Yot side. because it is a cramped area. #buddhisttemple
