Kyoto and around!

#kyoto - 🇯🇵 The #arashiyama bamboo forest is beautiful, of course, but this time I really enjoyed the 20 mins walk up to the #otaginenbutsuji Temple. Not just because of the impressive 1,200 carved statues covering the hillside of the temple (rakan - the followers of Buddha), but also because of the area surrounding the temple. Traditional houses and gardens that made me feel in peace with myself just by looking at them. The #kiyomizu dera and the #higashiyama district are absolutely worth a visit as well, but always, early in the morning if you don’t want to be surrounded by thousands of tourists. Same as the #fushimiinari Taisha shrine and its 10,000 torii gates. Lastly, as always in Japan, the food is amazing 😋😋 Around the #giondistrict there are many restaurants where you can also try the #unadon , #ramen and #wagyu but this time, after almost a week in Japan, a good Italian miss his pizza, so I tried the napule kyotogion pizza and everything was spot on! pizza amazing, drinks amazing, service amazing - well done 👍 I also found a super cute tradition coffee shop close to my hotel, tried the mouth watering cloud dessert at kumonocha kyoto sooo yummy 🤤 I love you Kyoto ❤️🇯🇵
