This hotel 🏨 is super close to Dongxi Alley and Prince Jingjiang's Mansion! Just a 4-5 minute walk away! It's incredibly convenient for kids to experience the imperial examination cosplay! (Hurry up if you're planning a summer trip! Best to book in advance.) About the Hotel 🏨 The hotel is "Gangsher Rooftop View Hotel," located in downtown Guilin. It's about a 10-minute 🚗 taxi ride from Guilin Railway Station, right by the road, with a very visible entrance to Zhengyang Pedestrian Street. We booked a racing car 🏎️-themed room. Though not on a very high floor, it still offers a view of Dongxi Alley outside the window. My child, who loves history, was thrilled to stay right across from Dongxi Alley. The rooftop view is absolutely stunning! Overlooking the entire Dongxi Alley and facing Duxiu Peak ⛰️ (the origin of "Guilin's scenery is the best under heaven"). It's said to be aligned with Guilin's dragon vein, and the ancient city wall of "Three Firsts in Imperial Examinations" is right opposite. (Legend has it this is the strongest Wenchang energy field—taking kids here to pray for academic success is believed to bring good results.) About Kid-Friendly Activities 👶 This hotel is truly a family-friendly gem! We spent two very comfortable days here with our child. ① The family room facilities are excellent—one large bed + a tatami racing car bed, which boys absolutely adore. ② The room has plenty of toys: foosball, rocking horses, a small tent, etc., so kids can play for hours without leaving the hotel. ③ The location is super convenient. Attractions like 📍 Elephant Trunk Hill, Sun and Moon Pagodas, and Dongxi Alley are all within walking distance. ④ Zhengyang Pedestrian Street is right downstairs, packed with local delicacies and 🍡 snacks, so picky eaters won't be a problem. About Food 🍽 The hotel provides 🆓 breakfast on the rooftop. The variety isn't huge but is more than enough. You can't visit Guilin without trying 🍜 Guilin rice noodles—the hotel's restaurant does them even better than some outside spots. We also had dinner at the hotel, as the restaurant has great reviews on Dianping. It specializes in Guilin-style dishes, mostly sour and spicy 🌶️, which are perfect for summer appetites—my kid devoured two bowls of rice!
