This is a great hotel. The rooms are very clean and spacious, with good amenities. The hotel staff are excellent and very helpful. I extended my booking a number of times and the staff were very happy to help. Even though I can’t speak much Chinese, they were so easy to deal with. My room with the bathtub was huge, the bed was very comfortable. The shower was nice and warm with great water pressure. The view over the river from my room was nice. The aircon was very good. The hotel is in a very good location, and there are a number of restaurants and street food vendors right outside. I highly recommend the dumpling soup from the restaurant to the right of the 24/7 store opposite the hotel.

Lovely local minsu overlooking the river n mountain.  The minsu was located on the walking street not far from the jetty when we arrived from wulong.   The lady host was welcoming n helpful in accommodating our request for late lunch n non spicy cooking. There is a rocking chair in the balcony that looks into the calming river n mountain.  It is misty in the evening n early am. It was a comfortable stay w lovely view.

The room was spacious and warm, the hot water temperature was just right, and the room service was very nice when I asked for water and slippers. Alisa Zhang at the front desk was professional and enthusiastic. Seeing that our child was taller, she was very considerate and changed to a bigger bed. Howard Johnson is a must-go on my way home! The hotel has its own restaurant, and the chef's skills are also great

There is only one lift available, so quite inconvenient for guests. The hotel looks outdated, but understand that it is undergoing some renovations. Breakfast choices are quite limited. Location is good to access to tourists attractions. Staff are friendly & helpful too especially a lady staff (#1). Thanks hotel for the free snacks.

The room is tastefully decorated and I am satisfied with the service. The hotel is in a good location, with Wuyi River right under the window and beautiful scenery. I was originally planning to stay for 2 nights, but something went wrong and I had to change it to one night. It was a pity. I came all the way from Xiangxi and this is the quietest place. Thank you to the store manager for helping the three of us carry our luggage all the way. I highly recommend staying here for a few days.

Our family recently stayed at Mountwell Chongqing (Jiefangbei) and overall, we had a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic – right in the heart of Jiefangbei, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. The panoramic suite offered breathtaking views, and the room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, perfect for families. The front desk was exceptionally helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Special shoutout to 金金, 紫涵, 二娃, 小林, and 慧子 (Guest Manager) for their professionalism and genuine care—they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The lobby’s well-stocked snacks and drinks were a lovely touch, showing their attention to guest needs. That said, we did encounter a few issues: Sewage smell in the toilet (room 2902) – Unfortunately, the master bathroom had a persistent sewage odour that permeated into the master bed room despite having the bathroom door closed. We raised the complaint to the front desk but had the misfortune of encountering an employee Mr. Yang who was not only rude but dismissive and condescending when speaking to us. He accused us of being oversensitive and even insinuated we were exaggerating the stench to get a discount. He arranged for the cleaners to fix it. And by fix, i mean opened the window and sprayed some deodorant. We said that was merely a temporary solution and the stench will return. He begrudgingly moved us to another room (room 3702) and said the stench is gone (it is not) and he would “behead” himself if it returns (he did not). The odour though still present was much more tolerable. We visited the front desk again to feedback on the odour situation and on Mr. Yang. The front desk apologised profusely on behalf of Mr. Yang and assured us we would not have to interact with Mr. Yang again. Aircon issue – On our first night in 3702, the AC shut off automatically due to a floor-wide problem, but it was fixed the next day. Washing machine issue – after moving to 3702, the washing machine broke. We called the front desk and they promptly arranged for a replacement. Unfortunately, the brand new replacement washing machine leaked after the first wash. We informed the staff and they offered to complete the wash and dry our laundry for us while we leave for our day so as to not affect our itinerary. It was unfortunate but we thought they handled the situation well. Why still 5 stars? Because every hotel have flaws—what matters is how they’re handled. Aside from that one rude staff, (the team especially the staff we praised) turned potential frustrations into minor footnotes. Their sincerity and efficiency in problem-solving reflect true hospitality, and we’d gladly return. Keep up the great work!

The experience of this stay was really beyond expectations! From the moment I stepped into the homestay, I felt the warm reception of the staff. The boss's service attitude is super good, which makes people feel the warmth of home instantly. Maybe it was just after the festival when we went there, and there were fewer people, so the boss upgraded the room type. The room design is simple and generous, and the hygiene details are very good! The bedding is soft and comfortable, there is no odor at all, and even the corners are spotless. I especially like the view outside the window, and the morning sun shines in, which is particularly healing. The facilities are also very considerate, with air conditioning, WiFi, and toiletries. The location is also OK, you can walk to the surrounding restaurants, with rich choices, and you can take a walk in the evening to feel the local life. The boss's breakfast is also delicious, and such a careful management must be praised! Whether it is a business trip or a leisure vacation, this is an excellent choice. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and look forward to seeing you next time!

Service: First of all, the latest high-speed rail from Chongqing to Wushan, we took it at 11 o'clock at night. The little brother came to pick up the station, and arrived early. It was very cold and waited at the station door for at least 20 minutes. Thank you very much. After arriving late, I also sent a hot welcome dessert. The night before, I would ask what I had to eat for breakfast the next day and what taboos were there. Facilities: The homestay is very new, the hard and soft decoration is very good! Environment: In Ningjiangdu Park, the scenery is naturally great! In the morning, you can take the internal passage of the hotel directly to the river. And the location is also very good, it is very convenient to go to Shennvtian Road and Wenfeng Scenic Area. The meal is delicious, family! ! As expected, the boss is doing catering, and when he left, he also sent two packs of Sister Pei's hot pot bottoms.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, just a short walk away from the metro station. Front desk provides good and friendly service, and gifted us welcome and farewell gifts upon check in and check out. The room is spacious and clean. Washroom and shower are in separated cubicles. Hotel provides free laundry service, but there is only one washing machine and two dryers on our floor (there is one more laundry room in another floor).

booked 2 rooms for family stay. location location location. unbeatable, walking distance to major tourists spot and aplenty of food just downstairs. one of the best stays in my Chongqing - Guiyang trip, laundry will be collected by staff and delivered to our room when it’s done. my only request is the toilet can be cleaner, esp the shower area. else really perfect stay.
