Excessive Noise: The hotel was extremely noisy, with trains, cars, bicycles, and church bells disturbing the peace throughout the day and night. This made it difficult to sleep. There was daily construction noise starting at 8:00 AM and continuing late into the day. Uncomfortable Bedding: The beds were notably uncomfortable, with hard mattresses. This was unexpected given the standard of a 5-star hotel. Subpar Food and Service: Both the food and service were underwhelming, not reflective of the experience one would expect from a hotel of this caliber.

I stayed here for 2 nights, in two different rooms (125 & 307). 125 is basically a disaster, because it's an approximately 3 hour hike to get to the room through a maze of various stairways, and what hiking I like to do in Switzerland, I prefer to do outdoors. 307 was a lot better, but really nothing to write home about. I gather that the hotel is new as the Mandarin recently took it over, but nothing really stands out about it. Food was OK, probably the best thing about it was the iced latte I had with breakfast which was surprisingly good. I also found the very long wait to get my car (20 mins) a bit ridiculous. I think it would be fine at a considerably lower price, but it's simply too much for what it is. Then again, expecting to find value in Zurich is like looking for snow in the desert, so you could probably do worse. The location is at least excellent!

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at the hotel a short time ago, and it was absolutely perfect. They have also won the Hotel of the Year from Gault & Millau and the price is well deserved. A must visit is the rooftop bar and of course the Italian restaurant.

Ufff a disappointment. Waitresses had no clue what they should do. No idea about serving and hosting. Bottle of water left in front of you, scoop of ice-cream brought with a soup spoon. Meat almost raw and the arugula over the meat heated up. Smell in the restaurant of kitchen oil missed with toilette disinfectant, .... this is a very short friendly summary not to get into details. Visit MO Luzern!

I had the chance to stay at this beautiful, new hotel twice in August. The service was top notch, most notability the receptionists. The rooms were incredibly well-designed with a true luxury feel. I enjoyed lunch, coffee in the lounge and breakfast, all were very well-executed. The property is conveniently located in a walkable area in old town. I will absolutely stay here again my next time in Zurich

Service was 2nd to none. Julian at front desk was great. Made sure we were moved to room to our liking. Quiet rooms, good temperature, great food and staff in restaurant. Location in town was convenient. Overall a wonderful experience. I'd stay here again!

I stayed before here when it was Baur en Ville and then Savoy and very recently when it became Mandarin. The reason I chose this hotel was because it was walking distance from my doctor. But what a disappointment! Recently redecorated, very kitsch for my taste. The lobby who used to have high ceiling has been lowered down I think to have an extra space for meetings or something. Terrible art work, a silly fake flame burning fireplace in the lobby. We had a Junior suite with my daughter where the only good thing was the balcony. Actually there were 2 balconies separated by an opaque screen who knows why. One of the balcony had furniture the other did not. The cupboards had no doors or curtains. The room was more like a superior than a Junior suite. Room service was terrible and outrageously expensive. The buffet breakfast was meagre, uninteresting and with a limited selection. The only good thing was the staff: professional, attentive and ready to help. I think this was the worst 5 star hotel I ever stayed in.

We had a great experience at Mandarin lounge thanks to Zafer! Looking forward to visit Mandarin Oriental hotel once again ! Everything there was so luxurious and cozy, the lounge was really warm 😍 The food was delicious and the sweets were so yummy 😋
