Went to Shenjiamen and booked a hotel at random. After checking in, I felt that the hotel was very cost-effective, the front desk was very professional and enthusiastic, and the rooms were simple and comfortable. Mainly in the old town, the hotel has its own parking lot and parking is free, which is quite good. The hotel has a buffet breakfast, and you can buy it at the front desk if you want to eat it. The breakfast is very good, I personally think it is delicious. Overall very satisfied.

The front desk learned that we had to leave at 7 o'clock and prepared breakfast for us contestants at 6:30 in advance. It was so thoughtful. I will stay at their house again when I come to participate next year!

Stayed here for two days, one day at Haizhongzhou and the next day at Hilton opposite. By comparison, the environment, attitude and service of Haizhongzhou are much better than those opposite. The buffet downstairs is also great. I will stay here again next time I come.

This time we booked a twin room, a standard room type. The only regret is that the two beds cannot be put together. If they were put together, it would be perfect. Maybe because there are not many people in the off-season, they gave me a room and two rooms on different sides have sea views! This is too extravagant... On one side is the cross-sea bridge built in recent years, on the other side is Putuo Mountain, and outside the window are Nanhai Guanyin, Centipede Pier and Luojia Mountain. What concept? If you have never been there or want to make a wish, you don’t need to go to the island. You can just get up early and pray directly in your room. You can stay there for a few days and pray.
I stayed for two nights and caught up with a heavy rain one night. There was a TV in one room and a projection in the other room, so I watched movies when it rained and watched the stars when the sky was clear. I prayed to Buddha across the sea in the morning and enjoyed life at night. In addition, I am alone, so I eat seafood, drink wine and watch movies in one room, and take a shower and sleep in another room when I am tired... The hotel can also book barbecues in advance, go to the sea, etc. All things considered, I feel that my stay is short. Okay, not enough fun
The service staff are quite patient, the housekeeper is also serious, and some details are well done. For example, during the cleaning days, the guests will be asked if they want it cleaned and when. If I ordered coffee or wine, he would come all the way across the building to deliver it, which made me feel embarrassed.

Very friendly and helpful reception counter services. They were very patient to answer all your questions and it was free to keep your huge luggage in the reception counter before going in to PuTuaShan. And vegetarian lunch was available in the resort hotel restaurant at CNY39 per person.
I would highly recommend to spend a night here and spend at least half a day to visit the Kuan Yin Fa Jie 普陀山观音法界.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The furnishing was new and looked fresh. 2 bottles of water and basic toiletories were provided (except shaver).
Less than 10m walk to Wugongshi Wharf.

Originally a special room without window on the 2nd floor, it was upgraded to a king-size bed room on the top floor. grateful.
The room is large and you can see the boats moored at the pier. The curtains are electric and the lights in the room are turned on according to patterns without having to switch them on one by one.
The bath water is big and hot, I like it. It was unbearably hot when the air conditioner was turned on to the back. We turned off the air conditioner when we went to bed at night.
By the way, the elevator that looks very nice in the picture is actually very dimly lit and a bit like a ”nightclub”. However, the photos turned out very nice, not dark at all, and there is no one else like it...
The hotel is next to Wugongshi Wharf, in a commercial building surrounding the wharf, with free parking.
It is very convenient to eat out. There are a lot of restaurants around the pier, including Xiao Yang's Fried Dumplings, Zhang Lala Beef Noodles, Dao Zhuangyuan, Hefu Lamian, COCO, Mixue Ice City, Yonghe King, 7-11, etc. However, all of them are at the scenic spot price, and there is no discount. Although I drove, it would take at least 3 kilometers to go out for a meal. I didn't want to go through the hassle, so I just spent money to buy time.
The nearest one is a RT-Mart supermarket. There is a commercial plaza next to the supermarket. If you want to save money, you can navigate to the supermarket.
The earliest boat leaves is at 7am. I bought the ticket to Mount Putuo and the boat ticket through Yimatong, which is very convenient. It is also very convenient to walk from the hotel to the pier, 10 minutes at most. Zhujiajian Wharf is close to Putuo Mountain. The boat ride only takes 10 minutes. I arrived there before I had time to get seasick. In the past, I always went to Putuoshan from Shenjiamen Wharf, which is farther than Zhujiajian, and the routes are often suspended for various reasons. But Zhujiajian Wharf is guaranteed to ship out.

SStephan_J_FiresWoW! What an amazing place to stay! I took my wife to the Island for her Birthday and was looking for an affordable and cute place. QingWu Fisherman's Hostel did not disappoint! The owner and his girlfriend were so kind and welcoming. He helped me find the correct Ferry station to travel to the Shengshan island and gave us tons of information and advice for living and traveling on the island. Like taking the bus instead of taxis because the taxis are very expensive. The Hostel also has a bar and restaurant area that is extremely cute and pleasant to be at. We ate Lunch and Dinner at the Hostel every day because the food was absolutely divine. My wife does not eat spicy food and the host was kind enough to alter the dishes. The room itself was an absolute pleasure to stay in. When we arrived at the room the air conditioning had already been put on and the room was nice and cool considering the soaring heat outside. We spent most mid-days in the room to escape the heat and take a nap. The evenings we spent on the deck watching the sunset and drinking beer and wine. It truly felt like home. If I go back to the island, I'll definitely stay there again. 1000% recommend.

GGuest UserThe restaurant has a 180° sea view and a sea-to-sky swimming pool, which is very impressive. The boss gave us a cappuccino for a simple breakfast. The boss was very nice. Three children and four adults were accommodated during the family trip without feeling crowded. There were children's tents and parent-child sofas. The pick-up and drop-off service was very convenient, which improved the efficiency of the entire trip. The pick-up driver was very helpful We made an appointment to watch the sunrise at the uninhabited village and Dongya cliff. The cost was very reasonable and the scenery was beautiful. A very recommended hotel, you can enjoy star service in a small rural fishing village.

SSharpPutoshan is well off the foreigner travel path and information in English is limited. That the nearest train station is a few hours away in Ningbo only makes it more complicated. That’s why I was happy to find this homestay/hotel with its helpful English speaking owner “良筑”. I called and he added me on WeChat to give me advice and drop me pins (hint:the “south” bus station in Ningbo is adjacent to the train station, next to the taxi queue). He explained where the four main sightseeing spots on the island were and gave me advice about how to tackle them in a day. As for the hotel itself, perfectly fine: clean and comfortable and affordable. Only disadvantage is it’s about a 10-15 minute drive to the ferry building, about an hour walk. But it’s easy to catch taxis to the hotel and then 良筑 will drive you back to town (about 20 rmb each way). Also, immediately across the street is an enormous new Buddhist temple with a really beautiful interior that I would have missed seeing if I hadn’t stayed at this hotel. It needs at least an hour. The nearby town is small but has many seafood restaurants. All in all, if you’re a foreigner with limited Chinese ability hoping to visit Putoshan, then this is probably the right hotel for you as 良筑 will help you to plan and organize your visit. Plan to arrive by midday and stay for two nights. You can see it all in that time.

VVictor RUWe had a lovely stay at Sea Cliff Hotel for May 1st break.
This is what I liked:
- buying ship ticket for May holiday was mission impossible, starting with Tickets App not accepting foreign passports. Hotel helped me with arranging the tickets both ways, even after there were no tickets online (sold out in 20 min)
- they arranged a pick us up on arrival and brought us back to the pier on departure
- hotel has an excellent sea view location, very silent and sea centric rooms, same for restaurant
- everything is modern, I specifically liked ability to share Apple screens on TV in the room, great way to review photos and watch own movies in the evening
- good breakfast 8 to 9AM, you can come 8:45 and enjoy a late breakfast as well; we also had late lunch in hotel restaurant on arrival, great food, great to seat outside, flexible working hours (not closed 14-17!), actually I liked their meals more than what we had on the main beach top restaurant, finally reception can brew you a coffee though bit hot
- there is 20 min walk from the hotel for a great bay and coffee place to watch sunset, excellent experience and no need to wake up early
- hotel was always online on WeChat to address any issues or questions, including how to organize a day, fantastic services!
- hotel has own beach area, looks like good to swim, I will consider for summer, water is clean on the island, and this is just couple of hours from Shanghai
- small drawback: fishing boats pass by from early morning, this may disturb your morning sleep ;)
- other thing the bed is a bit too hard for my back, but where did you see soft beds in China?

GGuest UserI went to Putuo Mountain three times in total. The hotel I stayed in this time was the best and very clean. The beach was opposite the hotel and the Guanyin statue could be seen in the room. The dinner in the restaurant on the first floor was great, the buffet breakfast was rich, and the butler service attitude was very good, helping to take the suitcase to the room.

Service: There is always a shuttle between the arrival dock and the hotel, and a time table going to the boat dock. The bellboy was very accommodating, helping with all of our baggages. There was one people in the check in counter (red uniform) who can not speak and understand English, and quite rude. She told us that we did not have a reservation, but she just didn't understand English and has to ask her superior, and while paying the credit card and she told us to just use cash because their card machine was not working well with one of our credit cards. The hospitality service of the girl was just unexpected, so be prepared for a translator device, so that you could communicate effectively with them.
Location: It is very near the Puji temple.
Restaurant: We have tried the morning buffet, there were only few selections of food, and the buffet was not worth the 60rmb you will need to pay for. I suggest you to walk at least 10 minutes to find the restaurants and groceries.

MMike Nomad OI had the pleasure of staying at the Lvcheng Zhujiajian Dongsha Hotel in Zhoushan, and it was an unforgettable experience. This beachfront gem offers direct access to the beach, making it an ideal choice for travelers seeking a relaxing seaside getaway.
The hotel's location couldn't be more perfect. Being steps away from the beach allowed me to enjoy picturesque views of the ocean and soothing sounds of the waves throughout my stay. The serene atmosphere made it easy to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.
A side note, this hotel is connected to the Westin and guest could stroll through the grounds.
The check-in process was smooth, and the staff greeted me with warm hospitality. They were attentive to my needs and provided helpful information about the hotel's services and nearby attractions.
The room was tastefully decorated and well-appointed with modern amenities. I appreciated the comfortable bed and the well-designed bathroom. The room's balcony provided a lovely spot to enjoy the sea breeze and stunning sunsets.
The hotel's dining options were diverse and satisfying. I particularly enjoyed the fresh seafood dishes served at the hotel's restaurant. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, catering to different palates.
The Lvcheng Zhujiajian Dongsha Hotel's on-site facilities were also impressive. The swimming pool was well-maintained, and the spa provided a delightful way to relax after a day at the beach.
As mentioned earlier, the hotel's connection to the Westin added an extra layer of convenience. Guests could access additional amenities such as fitness centers, upscale dining venues, and more, creating a seamless blend of relaxation and indulgence.
Overall, my stay at the Lvcheng Zhujiajian Dongsha Hotel was exceptional. The location has numerous spots for having meals. There were a lot of restaurants all mostly catering seafood dishes. Which I thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect beachfront escape in Zhoushan.

I booked the All Seasons because I stayed there before and it was very clean. There are not many chain hotels on the island. The price is a little expensive, about 1,500.
