The male boss provided excellent service. He recommended me the places to visit inside Zhangjiajie National Park given my arrival timing and also the following day. Since I was travelling solo, he provided some safety tips inside the Park and offered to make my next day's breakfast outside the breakfast time if I needed to sleep in. He would come have a small chat with me whenever I was dining alone there too. Besides the service, the location is excellent. It's just about 5min walk to Zhangjiajie National Park's North Entrance. The greatest perk of staying at the mountain top was that I largely avoided the crowd as I was in the opposite direction mostly. Within walking distance are a few restaurants, a foot bath and massage and a supermarket which was really convenient. The room I stayed in was clean except the balcony which had bugs but was understandable since it is in the mountains. The only downside for me was that there was no soundproofing at all so the occasional noise at night and the start of activity in the early morning made it hard for a light sleeper like me.

The room was very clean and the facilities were new. It was better than I expected. I could stay here with peace of mind, but I forgot to take pictures. And there is a restaurant on the first floor, which is very convenient. The boss is very enthusiastic and nice. When we went to the Sky Garden, he contacted us and the tickets were halved~ You can see Zhangjiajie in the wallpaper from the viewing platform of the Sky Garden! ! When we left, the boss also helped us contact the bus directly to the train station. Thumbs up, thumbs up 👍 I really recommend it. If my classmates come to play, I will recommend this one~

The location is great if you want to visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and even more if you wanna visit it multiple days (I had a tight schedule so I only visited it one day) because the entrance is 10 min walking from the hotel.
The hotel is 1 hour away from the city, but they can arrange a ride for a cheap price if it's during the day. The best is to contact them through WeChat.
I had some misunderstandings regarding the ride, but fortunately the hotel I was staying in the city knew them and contacted them for me.
The owners are nice, I spent one night drinking tea with her and talking about different things (through an app translator, like most of hotels).
She can buy you the bus ticket to a nice spot inside the park cheaper than on spot. It would be useful if you ask her to list names of the places in WeChat, because with the map most people could not read the tiny characters so I got somewhat lost sometimes hahaha
I will go back for sure someday with my family!

I had a really comfortable stay here. The location looks difficult to reach but the manager helped me arrange a cheap ride share from the city. The location then paid dividends for visiting the scenic area, as I would avoid any queues by simply heading the opposite way to most travellers at the end of the day! Great!

Highly recommend this store, the experience is very good and the decoration is very unique. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. I like the stream in front of the door. If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a while and enjoy a quiet leisure time, you will not be disappointed when you come here. The boss and his family are very nice. They will also help plan travel routes. Avoid crowded queues. We will pick you up and drop you off at any time on the road to the entrance of the scenic spot, and we will help you contact the car for the round trip. The price is reasonable and there is no group tour for this trip. Since the owner's family provided one-stop services for food, accommodation and transportation, we saved a lot of troubles. For a true leisure vacation, it is very convenient to eat here at any time. And give discounts every time. I also really like to eat the dishes cooked by their chef, which are delicious! Breakfast will come with different flavors. There are shredded pork noodles, rice noodles, steamed buns, porridge, etc. The boss is very nice and upgraded the room for us, which doubled the experience. Zhangjiajie’s first stop, Forest Park, becomes even better because of Xiangxi Story B&B. Their home has its own scenery and nostalgic decoration style, which is very nice.

This B&B has the best facilities near the north gate of Tianzi Mountain in Zhangjiajie Forest Park, and it also has its own elevator.
The B&B is very close to the entrance of the scenic spot, about 150 meters away, which is very convenient. There is a large supermarket next to the B&B, which is also convenient for shopping.
The most important thing is that the owner of the B&B is super enthusiastic. Before arriving, he kept calling to confirm the pick-up time. After arriving at the hotel, he carefully explained the scenic tour route.

The boss is also very considerate. Not only did he send a carefully drawn forest park tour map, but also detailed the various attractions on it, which gave us a clear understanding of the scenic spot.
The breakfast at this B&B is very good, with beautifully presented dishes. It also provides ordering service. The food tastes unexpectedly good, with the flavor of Hunan cuisine, and the portions are quite large. The hotel room was big and clean and beautiful, it has the BIGGEST bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel, they provide 2 different types of pillows for you to choose from, and all facilities were clean and very new. It’s located within a shopping mall and there’s an excellent bakery just downstairs. It is also smart, you can call “xiao du xiao du” to turn the lights off for you, open the curtains, etc. The vanity mirror is also amazing for female travellers. One thing to note however, is that because it is in a prime center location, there is some traffic congestion in the road just outside (not a big issue) and the taxi may find it slightly difficult to drop you off right at the entrance (pretty normal for mid range china hotels i’d say)

BBella KetkoHighly recommend staying at Mido. A perfect location right on the edge of the park by the east gate. Incredibly kind hosts who helped so much using translate and gestures to help plan my trip and book my tickets with amazing discounts. Each day they would help me decide what to do and where to go and check in regularly using we chat. I was able to do my laundry and dried my clothes in the room overnight using the heater and coat hangers provided. Overall a fantastic experience I would highly recommend!

I recently stayed at this homestay in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park with my sister and brother-in-law for 4 nights. As visitors with minimal Mandarin skills, we were delighted by the warm hospitality and personalized services provided by our host.
From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel at home, serving us homebrew tea and homegrown organic peanuts! They went above and beyond to ensure our trip was enjoyable and stress-free.
As DIY visitors, we didn’t book any tours. The host offered great guidance after learning about our wishes. They helped us purchase admission tickets and organized transportation for us every day. This made our daily trips to the national park and other tourist spots incredibly easy and convenient.
The place is quiet and absolutely beautiful. We were surrounded by the mountains. The building materials are of superb quality and the insulation is very good, despite the cold weather. The bedding was very comfortable and we all had a good night's sleep.
The highlight of our stay was truly these tailor-made services, providing us with recommendations for daily trips, food, and transportation. We enjoyed plenty of delicious healthy food, including a variety of fruits such as grapes, oranges, pomelo, to name but a few! The vegetables and some fruits (like kumquats, figs) were organically grown on the farm. Every meal was homemade and tasty. We even got to try their own specialty tea Mei Cha (莓茶), which was a delightful experience.
On a particularly rainy day, the host proactively brought umbrellas to us, ensuring we stayed dry and comfortable. At some of the tourist spots, guides had been arranged to ensure our smooth entry. These thoughtful gestures added a personal touch to our experience, making us feel genuinely cared for.
Overall, the owner’s dedication to making our trip enjoyable and successful was evident in every aspect of our stay.

WWoei ShyongVisited Zhangjiajie for 3 nights, chose this hotel because of the proximity (just across the street) to Tianmen Mountain gate entrance. Do also check out the travel agencies righr at the hotel ground floor for all your attraction tickets, guides and private car transport at great prices!!! Right outside the hotel, there are restaurants, covenience stores and even Mcdonalds for those who wish to have fast food and not used to the local delicacies (across the street less than 5 mins walk). From train station to hotel is about RMB 20 by car. Hotel to Wulingyuan is about RMB 100 by car, to Yellow Dragon Cave is RMB 140. To Grand Canyon is RMB 200.

TThereseWe had a very nice stay, we stayed 3 people in one room. The room we stayed in was very big and had its own unique style. It was very clean. The hotel is very close to the South Gate of the park. It's a little hidden away from the road, but they were very quick to come and pick us up and drove us to the park entrance every day free of charge. Breakfast eggs come from free range chicken on the ground and they were excellent. Over all the food was very good. It's a small hotel run by a family and they are all very nice and helpful with planning your stay. Location is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

GGuest UserOur holidaying at Zhangjiajie was memorable not just because of the most astounding natural beauty of the place but also because of one of the most memorable experiences at the hotel we stayed in: ‘Harmona Resort and Spa’. The warm and friendly staff here created a very welcoming atmosphere.
We experienced excellent customer service with friendly and approachable attitude displayed by every member of the staff. They had the ability to anticipate needs of guests and respond promptly.
Though we did not know Mandarin, we never felt isolated because of the extra length the staff went to translate using technology.
The staff also handled specific requests quickly and were excellent in resolving issues. We had problem with our electrical plugs and adapters. Cherry from the Front Desk patiently spent hours and found a solution that allowed us to charge all our electronics on the local system.
The staff particularly at the restaurants displayed cultural awareness and showed sensitivity to our vegetarian meal requests.
Special mention must be made of Front Desk Staff particularly Cherry who positively responded instantaneously to any of our requests.
Housekeeping Staff also responded immediately to our request for sorting out the WiFi issue.
I and my wife would like to specially thank Hq Du, an extremely pleasant and helpful lady at the restaurant where we had our daily breakfast. Donghua and Fang ant this place also went out of the way to make the daily breakfast an experience to remember. All the three anticipated our needs and were always friendly and cheerful.They walk the talk in customer service. When my wife did not go for buffet breakfast as she was working out, they insisted on packing the breakfast for her. Also, on the day we were leaving, they packed take away food for the road. This was highly thoughtful of them.
We would also like to thank Roland, Yuan Quioyun and Lora from the Chinese restaurant, who prepared for us off-the-menu Chinese vegetarian dishes which proved to be very delicious.
Overall, we had an incredibly lovely experience at this resort and would strongly recommend visitors to Zhangjiajie to stay at this place.

GGuest UserI had a great experience at this hostel in Wulingyuan! The location is perfect—right near the entrance to the national park and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and food stalls, which made it super convenient.
The host was amazing! When I asked for a different room due to some loud snorers in my original room, they were really understanding and helped me move right away, which made a big difference in my stay. Plus, the host’s dog is super cute. Highly recommend this place!

SSS-SingaporeReach ZJJ west station via the high speed rail from Changsha. After Existing the station, keep left to the Bus Station to WuLingYuan. Need to tell the staff there so they will ask the bus to detour into the station to pick ups up. Cost 13RMB per trip. Tell the Bus driver u going to East Gate, Dong Meng. You will alight after the round about along WuLing Road. From there it's just a 5 mins walk to the hotel. Greeted by Mr Yang. the owner of the hotel. I reached the hotel early at 10am, Mr Yang is nice enough to prep the room early and let me check-in. He orientated me to the surrounding and suggest my route to tour the national park. I was staying there for 3 nights. So i bought the 4 days entry ticket + unlimited Cable Cars(3 routes) & BaiLong lift ride. Very worth it if you are staying there for 4 days. Mr Yang helped me to purchase the ticket at a discount price (488RMB). Totally enjoyed the walk, hike, climb, cable car rides & lift rides as it's a low tourist season. But I make an effort to wake yp early and take the first scenic shuttle bus to the locations. The East Gate opens at 7am in the morning, closed at abt 730pm. The East Gate where the WuLingMeng landmark building is, is where all the shuttle buses will depart to the different locations, eg, to TianZhiShan, BaiLong Elevator or Ten Miles gallery. I will usually Didi to and back from the East gate to the hotel, cost abt 6-8RMB. Walking is about 1.5km. 15mins. I skip the Grand Canyon as I think it's abit overpriced and not very scenic. After the stay, I took the same public bus to ZJJ city for TianZhiShan. The pickup location for the public bus is at the same round abt, just wave at the blue bus with the label to ZJJ. Price is also 13rmb and can be paid onboard via WeChat pay. My Yang help me to buy the mountain ticket in advance as its always crowded there. I paid 238rmb for Route 2 ticket which is taking the bus up the mountain and cable car back to the city. It was super nice up in the mountain and the cable car ride was a superb experience. If you need more info can email me @ *****************. Can share more with u solo traveler. Additional Info: The location of the hotel is the best I feel, there are many shops and eatery. Do not stay at the west gate area of WuLingYuan, it's very inconvenient there. The room of the hotel is super big and clean. Bed is VERY comfortable. You have everything you need in the room. Mr Yang will often make me Chinese tea and chit chat. Very friendly and humble boss. Will definitely come back and stay in his hotel again.
