Ulasan Qiquan Homestay

Qiquan is a beautiful, secluded gem near the Zhangjiajie south gate. We came in the winter and the rooms were warm with floor heating and a fantastic heater. We got the star gazing room, so at night we could open the blinds on the ceiling and look out. Our first night we got lucky! So many stars, and even Jupiter! The room is two levels, with the beds in the loft and a comfortably furnished living space downstairs with a large Chinese -style sofa and a platform with a tea table. The bathroom has the toilet and showers with separate doors, so the sink is available even when one or the other is in use. The water was hot and the toilet had a heated toilet seat! The staff were incredible. They helped us plan our trip through Zhangjiajie, provided us with everything we needed or forgot, drove us to south gate, and served a wonderful Chinese style breakfast. We had also had dinner there the first night and it was absolutely delicious! We had an absolutely wonderful time!

Had a pleasant stay at Qiquan Homestay. We felt welcomed and enjoyed good hospitality, clean and spacious room, and attentive service from our personal butler, staff, even the boss and lady boss had chipped in to help us in one way or another. Overall very service oriented. Also, they were very fast in responding to our queries via WeChat. My first impression with Qiquan was how fast they responded after I submitted an airport pick up request. This happened a few days after completing the room booking in Trip.com. In the same hour, I received a phone call from Trip.com informing Qiquan Homestay had contacted them to pass us their WeChat number to connect with them directly. From there, they enquired what attractions we plan to visit and offered to help book the tickets (at a slightly cheaper rate). They do help to advise which ticket to book earlier as it could run out when purchase on the same day of visit. For example Tianmenshan ticket, they advised to purchase one week ahead. Another occurrence of good service; on our second day we had our personal butler and staff bring up our breakfast up to the room, because we had a night flight the day before and reached hotel pretty late and got up late, so missed breakfast time. It was so nice of them, we got to eat and enjoyed delicious breakfast and enjoyed good scenery from our room window. Also we mentioned we felt quite cold in the room because of the lower temperature (near mountain area) and butler immediately took out another portable heater which helped us warmed us a lot. We also had the privilege of having the boss of the homestay to drive us to and fro from Homestay to the South Gate entrance. The lady boss had personally helped us with our tickets booking (even after checking out) and bring up our breakfast when we requested to have it in the room too. It was a good experience with Qiquan Homestay.

This was one of my best experiences of hotels while travelling. The homestay is very beautiful! Having traditional Chinese breakfast while looking in the window on mountains was very pleasant. But the best in this homestay were people! I’ve never met such kind and attentive people! They helped us with everything: to plan the day in the national park, to buy tickets, they heated our room so we return in warm room. Actually I had my birthday in the last day of our trip. Workers celebrated me with the traditional noodles and helped us to heat after getting under the rain. I will never forget their kindness 🩷 Qiquan homestay has a place in my heart. I totally recommend this place

Very grateful to lady boss for arranging everything for us, we had an amazing time in Zhangjiajie! 😊😊😊 She had engaged a reliable local guide to bring us around and planned for our daily itinerary. Rooms were huge and comfortable! Hotel food was great and much more affordable than outside. Recommend to everyone who intends to visit Zhangjiajie!

We appreciated the butler’s and staff assistance and consideration whenever planning for the day’s itinerary. The place is a lovely retreat with beautiful sunrise views and cosy room to relax and chill.

The hotel is gorgeous! Very nice view and location. The staff is fantastic, Chinese people is very nice and friendly but they are the best. They helped us with everything we needed, arranging our trip to the National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain! We really suggest to book this hotel to have a true and pleasant experience in Zhangjiajie, Wulingyuan, and to also eat at their restaurant, it is delicious! And a special thanks to 成龙, he’s the best and kindest guy.

Qiquan Homestay offers perfect hospitality in Zhangjiajie! The staff are very gracious, helpful and kind. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel is beautifully designed with traditional woodwork, art, an interior fountain and exterior koi pond. The mountain setting is peaceful and relaxing. You can enjoy birdsong by day, and crickets courting by night. The menu is simple but tasty. We highly recommend this place to all travelers!

It's been a very pleasant stay over two nights in Qiquan. Mr and Mrs Meng are very friendly and helpful, whether in providing transport to the South entrance, recommending a very good itinerary to the National Park, and obliging us with all the little requests we have. If you like tranquility and a laid back experience, you will enjoy your stay in Qiquan.

I had an incredibly comfortable and memorable stay at Qiquang Homestay! The glass roof rooms are a unique feature that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the serene and breathtaking scenery of Zhangjiajie. Waking up to the natural light and being surrounded by such beauty was truly an unforgettable experience. One of the standout aspects of this homestay is their kitchen. They serve delicious home-cooked local cuisine for both breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend ordering dinner with them— their chicken soup is hands down the best I’ve ever had in Zhangjiajie! It’s a real treat that adds to the authenticity of the experience. The butler at Qiquang Homestay deserves a special mention. He is incredibly friendly, accommodating, and goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is perfect. They even provide a driver who will take you to the park entrance, which is super convenient. Just make sure to arrange this in advance. As this homestay is in a rural area with high moisture, it’s not uncommon to come across some insects from time to time, but this is to be expected given the natural surroundings. It didn’t detract from my overall experience at all. Qiquang Homestay is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with excellent hospitality. I would definitely stay here again!

Very centrally located close to the main attractions of Zhangjiajie. Homestay staff was very helpful with booking us tickets and transportation. Altogether quite clean. We also enjoyed the selection of dishes available at the restaurant. Highly recommend.

Host was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He helped plan our 3 days itinerary, gave clear explanation, and purchased all our attraction tickets. Any questions were very quickly responded by wechat. We took 15-30mins Didi rides everywhere. When we came back late at night, the host offered a ride to convenience store and nearby restaurant. Our room AC was cold and the 2 double beds was spacious for us with 2 teens. There was also a laundry room. We were given 1 complimentary kids breakfast. And lastly waking up with the mountain view was amazing! Thank you for the hospitality!

Quite possibly out favourite place we stayed during our three week trip in China. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay more. Everything about this place was fantastic, the scenery, the view, the cleanliness, and the extremely friendly owners who really went above and beyond to make us happy. We were almost disappointed when we booked the stargazing suite because due to the weather, precipitation had formed on the ceiling glass. However the owner had went up to the roof and squeegeed the water off so that we could enjoy the stars. I did not ask him to do it, I merely showed my disappointment. I don’t know how you even top that. This was also one of the cleanest hotels we had in China, we paid special attention to cleanliness of the washroom and bathroom areas throughout our trip and we were very pleased. The complimentary local breakfast was also tasty (but spicy). The host was also very knowledgeable about Zhangjiajie National Park and gave us great suggestions on what routes to take and what to avoid. Extremely charming place, and was very sad to leave!

The hotel is really nice and the owners make you feel at home. Everything is in nice condition and clean. The breakfast is nice and varies. Would definitely comeback if I end up in zhangjiaje once again!

Great amenities, wonderful, friendly, and helpful host. Outstanding views and close to the park entry. The bed was super comfy and the outdoor balcony bath was next level. Highly recommend this accommodation for any english speaking travellers.
