The lady at the B&B was very enthusiastic and upright. She told us the travel route before going to the hotel, and then arrived at the station in advance to pick us up. We are a family of three, and they gave us an extra quilt and pillows without saying anything. Because it was raining, they also gave each of us a shoe cover. I asked her to transfer some money to her, but she didn't accept it. They got up very early the next morning and took us to see the Aerial Pastoral and the Magical Soldiers from Heaven. Later I learned that if we went to that attraction alone, we would need to pay an additional 65 yuan per person for the fare! The young lady is so nice! I hope she makes more money and makes a lot of money!

The facilities of this hotel are relatively complete. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The fatigue of the journey was relieved here. I was full of energy the next day. The warm and thoughtful service made me feel at home. The scenery of Zhangjiajie and the people in Zhangjiajie make me nostalgic and forgetful. If I have the opportunity to bring friends over, I will continue to stay at this hotel. …

The location of the B&B in the village in the scenic area is very convenient. It is located at the intersection of Sancha Road. You don't have to go up and down the mountain every day to live here, and you can get up early to watch the sunrise. Because on the mountain, the room facilities are relatively simple, it is inevitable in the village on the mountain, but it is still very clean. The mountain is cold, and the proprietress of the hotel opened the electric blanket very intimately. At night, accompanied by the sound of nature, she slept very well in the warm bed. PS: You can see the Milky Way and Fireflies on the mountain at night, which is the biggest surprise! And the dog of the proprietress's house is super good!

Advantages: plenty of parking space, double bed 1.5 meters big enough, owner enthusiastic about shopping.
Disadvantages: The facilities are simple, there are no supermarkets and restaurants, and there are basically no choices for meals.
You can hear people talking in the next room at night, and the rooster crows at 5 in the morning. The toilet floor drain drains water very slowly. If you take a shower, your feet will be soaked in water. Maybe because we are in a rural area, there are so many mosquitoes and they are quite big. I couldn't finish taking pictures. I originally planned to lower the temperature to control mosquitoes, but the air conditioner was set to 19 degrees, which was no different from setting it to 28 degrees. After fighting mosquitoes all night, I had no energy to play the next day.
Not recommended for eating: since there is no menu, we are the bosses and we can eat whatever the owner wants. A fried green onion egg pancake (for 2 eggs) is 35 yuan.

In the embrace of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Zilong Mingju (Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan National Scenic Spot Forest Park Store) is like a bright pearl hidden in the mountains and waters, standing quietly and elegantly in the scenic area, only 300 meters away from the Zimugang ticket station in Zhongmen, so that guests can easily enter this natural wonderland.
Entering Zilong Mingju, one feels as if they are immersed in a world of tea culture full of poetry and Zen. And when you open the window of your room, what comes into view are the undulating and picturesque peaks of the scenic area. The homestay began its preparations and construction in March 2019 and was fully completed in March 2023 after four years of development. The hotel covers a total area of 3,500m², with a built-up area of 1,800m². Located at Zimugang in Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie, it is only 80 meters away in a straight line from the Zimugang Ticket Office of Zhangjiajie Forest Park, providing great convenience for travelers.
The homestay's public areas include a restaurant, bar, gym, tea room, and meeting room. Additionally, it features a 200m² open-air scenic swimming pool, a 1,500m² outdoor lawn, and a 400m² open space around the pool, making it suitable for large-scale events such as weddings and team-building activities.
The hotel faces a pond at the front and is backed by a valley, designed in a closed private courtyard structure nestled deep in the forest. Embracing the "minimalist wabi-sabi style" as its design concept, the building incorporates floor-to-ceiling glass windows on both the front and rear. Every room allows guests to open the windows to breathtaking views, truly immersing them in nature and creating a sense of harmony with the natural surroundings.

Well located next to the park’s side entrance (less crowded). However, the food options around the area is quite limited and as we stayed for five nights got bored of eating all our meals in the hotel, we found ourselves constantly commuting to and fro from Wulingyuan for dinner. If you’re only staying for one or two nights, the hotel’s restaurant does serve decent food and you wouldn’t have the same issue as us.
Though the place looks aesthetic in photos, we felt that the place is in need of better maintenance. e.g. peeling paint near the sink, floor skirting that looks like it’s about to fall out, patchy paint job. Because of this, we felt that the place is a little overpriced for the quality of the room we got. I think the rooms were probably much more impressive when the hotel first launched but the lack of maintenance got in the way.
Despite all these, we did have a good time and the staff at the hotel were all very very helpful and sweet. A special shoutout to Xiao Tan for helping us arrange transportation, meals, and park entrance tickets.

The main thing is a wilderness B&B with a relaxing atmosphere [amazing], with a bit of semi-self-service. Location: Inside the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, you can just buy a ticket to go in and don’t have to come out. You can just stay inside. During the holidays when there is a lot of traffic, you can save the time of queuing up and down the mountain if you don’t have money to go in. This is great! Regarding how to get there: The store will add you WeChat to tell you the address in advance. It is between Tianzi Mountain and Yangjiajie in the scenic area. Tell the master ”Yuanjiajie Tea House” and the master will drop you off. When you come out, it is the road Bian Yang said, if there are seats, the driver will stop and let you get on. If there are many people on holidays, you need to call the driver to reserve a seat. Specifically, it is far away from Tianzi Mountain and closer to Yangjiajie. If you mainly look for natural scenery and pastoral features, you can choose here! But if you are looking for hotel facilities and services, they are definitely not available here, so don’t think about it! ! It is said here that it is very popular on foreign websites. Many foreigners who hike will choose to stay here and live in open-air tents. The rooms here are in two buildings. You can see the scenery from the front but not from the back. There are only two floors. Some rooms only have squatting facilities. You have to be careful when choosing a room. The main thing here is light B&B, semi-self-service. There is mainly a middle-aged man, a young girl, an inarticulate young man and a punk-style driver. They are all ordinary people talking to each other, just like neighbors in the village. In the evening, I found that my child didn’t have his toothbrush. The clerk said he was busy and didn’t have time to get it. He told me where it was and then went to the warehouse to search for it. The main thing is a semi-self-service B&B where you are the boss. If you want to drink tea, the little girl at the front desk can make a pot with you, and then you can take it to where you want to drink. On the side outside the dormitory is where they wash quilts. You can see the sheets that they have not washed, are still washing, and drying. It is still warm when you sleep at night. The key to which rooms can be occupied every day depends on how many rooms the aunt can clean. It is so relaxing. They have their own kitchen and restaurant, and they can eat at about four tables at the same time. They buy and cook their own food. Whether it tastes good or not depends on luck. There is also a brother who has a minivan to take guests up the mountain or to watch the sunrise, but there is a fee. After looking at this place, it used to be a large-scale tea garden. Maybe these houses were used by the staff or researchers of the tea garden at that time. The conditions of the houses are very simple and simple, and the wooden doors are a little leaky. Some rooms have no toilets, only squatting. When choosing a room, Be careful. In general, if you are tired of living in big cities and want to experience the wilderness in a natural village, the Xingchen Tea House Natural Oxygen Bar is a simple, simple, relaxing and semi-self-service place. It is a good choice!

We booked this homestay online for a family trip. The price/performance ratio is really good. The service is very considerate. The boss can pick us up and drop us off at the scenic spot. He will also help us make a guide for the scenic spot. The room facilities are clean and tidy, with a great design style, and the tea is also delicious. We eat every meal in the restaurant. The dishes are authentic Hunan style, with good ingredients and good taste. The boss is humorous and very dedicated to the business. Recommended [Rose]

We arrived very late and the boss waited patiently until midnight! The next day, he also explained the tour route to us! They also let us park our car in the yard until we left the scenic area! It is only a 2-3 minute walk from Zimumen. Breakfast is 10 yuan per person, including rice noodles, rice porridge and pickled vegetable buns. The facilities in the room are average, and there is blood on the bed sheet.

JJY TayOverall an excellent hotel. The hotel room was big and clean and beautiful, it has the BIGGEST bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel, they provide 2 different types of pillows for you to choose from, and all facilities were clean and very new. It’s located within a shopping mall and there’s an excellent bakery just downstairs. It is also smart, you can call “xiao du xiao du” to turn the lights off for you, open the curtains, etc. The vanity mirror is also amazing for female travellers. One thing to note however, is that because it is in a prime center location, there is some traffic congestion in the road just outside (not a big issue) and the taxi may find it slightly difficult to drop you off right at the entrance (pretty normal for mid range china hotels i’d say)
DDearSunsetMy stay at Zhangjiajie Mido Inn was nothing short of a restorative journey, a much-needed reprieve after receiving less-than-ideal results from my recent CT scan. As a cancer patient, I was seeking more than just a place to rest—I needed an experience that would uplift my spirits, and the Mido Inn, along with its caretaker Wu, delivered exactly that.
Upon arriving at the inn, I was greeted by Wu, whose warm and welcoming demeanor immediately put me at ease. He seemed to sense that I needed more than just a room; I needed an escape, a way to reconnect with nature and find peace amidst my worries. Wu went above and beyond, providing me with a hand-drawn map of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and crafting a personalized itinerary that perfectly suited my pace and interests.
Wu’s local insights were invaluable. He knew the park like the back of his hand and took the time to highlight lesser-known trails and viewpoints that offered stunning vistas without the crowds. His suggestions were exactly what I needed—places where I could take in the breathtaking beauty of the park and reflect, without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
The inn itself was cozy and felt like a home away from home. Each evening, after a day of exploring, I returned to a warm and comfortable space that offered solace and tranquility. The location of the inn was ideal, nestled close enough to the park to make early starts easy, yet far enough away to provide a quiet retreat.
During my two-day tour of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, I experienced moments of pure awe that felt almost like a healing process. Standing at the edge of towering cliffs, surrounded by the iconic sandstone pillars, I found a sense of peace that had eluded me in the sterile environment of hospital rooms and medical appointments. The park’s natural beauty, combined with Wu’s thoughtful guidance, allowed me to truly immerse myself in the moment, leaving my health concerns behind, if only for a little while.
Wu’s genuine kindness and eagerness to help made my time in Zhangjiajie not just successful, but deeply fulfilling. His assistance turned what could have been a standard stay into something truly special. As I left Zhangjiajie, I felt a renewed sense of hope and strength, carrying with me memories of not just the breathtaking landscapes, but of the kindness of a stranger who made a world of difference in my journey.

GGuest UserExceptional Homestay Experience in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
Rating: 5.0
I recently stayed at this homestay in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park with my sister and brother-in-law for 4 nights. As visitors with minimal Mandarin skills, we were delighted by the warm hospitality and personalized services provided by our host.
From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel at home, serving us homebrew tea and homegrown organic peanuts! They went above and beyond to ensure our trip was enjoyable and stress-free.
As DIY visitors, we didn’t book any tours. The host offered great guidance after learning about our wishes. They helped us purchase admission tickets and organized transportation for us every day. This made our daily trips to the national park and other tourist spots incredibly easy and convenient.
The place is quiet and absolutely beautiful. We were surrounded by the mountains. The building materials are of superb quality and the insulation is very good, despite the cold weather. The bedding was very comfortable and we all had a good night's sleep.
The highlight of our stay was truly these tailor-made services, providing us with recommendations for daily trips, food, and transportation. We enjoyed plenty of delicious healthy food, including a variety of fruits such as grapes, oranges, pomelo, to name but a few! The vegetables and some fruits (like kumquats, figs) were organically grown on the farm. Every meal was homemade and tasty. We even got to try their own specialty tea Mei Cha (莓茶), which was a delightful experience.
On a particularly rainy day, the host proactively brought umbrellas to us, ensuring we stayed dry and comfortable. At some of the tourist spots, guides had been arranged to ensure our smooth entry. These thoughtful gestures added a personal touch to our experience, making us feel genuinely cared for.
Overall, the owner’s dedication to making our trip enjoyable and successful was evident in every aspect of our stay.
I highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The personal touch, yummy organic food, and convenient transportation made our trip unforgettable. Thank you to the host for an exceptional experience!

GGuest UserWonderful hotel! The most important thing for us was the location — it’s right next to the funicular, which was very convenient. I especially want to highlight the front desk staff: everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. A special thank you to the young woman who helped us with breakfast for our child, called a taxi, walked us to the car, and even gave a toy to our child — it was incredibly kind and touching! Unfortunately, I didn’t ask her name, but I’d like to express my deep gratitude for her care and attention.
Overall, the entire staff left a great impression. The rooms are clean, cozy, and have everything you need, except for bathrobes. Breakfasts were excellent — a wide variety of dishes to suit any taste, and finally, during this trip around China, we found real European cuisine!
We had a very positive experience and would gladly recommend this hotel.

YYuri:)We stayed at FOGGY VALLEY (张家界雾里观阵山民宿) for four unforgettable nights, and it was truly a memorable experience 💖. My husband and I will cherish the beautiful memories we made here for a long time 🥰
[Warm Welcome and Thoughtful Care]
From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality from 阿升(Asheng)管家, 胡(Hu)管家, and all the staff was evident 😊. They worked seamlessly to ensure every guest felt genuinely welcomed and well cared for 💬
[Comfortable Transportation and Meticulous Scheduling]
Before check-in, we arranged a pick-up service from the train station to the guesthouse via WeChat. Thanks to Hu’s careful scheduling, the driver was waiting for us upon arrival, ensuring a smooth and relaxing journey. This thoughtful preparation helped reduce any tension in the unfamiliar location 🚖
[Romantic Gestures and Quick Support]
On the first day, my husband prepared a bouquet of roses 🌹. While I rested in our room, Hu accompanied him to the florist and translated. It felt like reliving our honeymoon 💕. Furthermore, when I accidentally left a bag containing important medication in a taxi the day before check-in, Hu quickly contacted the relevant parties 📞. In just three hours, he retrieved the bag and brought it to my room 🛡️
[Scenic Drop-off Services and Thoughtful Attention]
Asheng, Hu, and a female staff member ensured safe and comfortable transport for each trip 🚙. They confirmed our plans, reminded us of tickets, and Asheng was always there to watch over us when returning late. Hu also picked us up from 72 Kiru, and we were very grateful ☺. Their care ensured a safe journey every time.
[Prompt Solutions for Small Challenges]
When we mentioned the inconvenience of charging our phones due to different plug standards 🔌, both Asheng and Hu promptly provided adapters, effectively solving the issue ⚡
[Rich Cultural Experience and Stunning Natural Beauty]
FOGGY VALLEY’s surroundings were breathtaking. The views from the guesthouse were magical—morning mist resembling a dream and illuminated mountains at night 🌄. After visiting, I appreciated the value of the traditional Xiangxi architecture more and hope to explore more next time. The scenery, reminiscent of the mythical ”Peach Blossom Spring,” brought a sense of tranquility.
[Special Services and Custom Experiences]
The Chinese breakfast included warm dumplings and various options 🍲. The warm beef noodle soup, coffee machine, soy milk, yogurt, salad, fruit, and toast were great. The local berry tea and nuts were perfect for hikes 🌳. The complimentary laundry service made our stay more comfortable 🧺. The automatic curtain system brightened the mornings, and the premium bedding ensured a restful night’s sleep.
[Traditional Programs and Photography Spots]
The guesthouse offered programs like tea tasting and meditation, allowing guests to experience traditional Chinese culture 🧘🫖. The scenic spots around were perfect for capturing memories on SNS, enhancing our experience.
[Looking Forward to Our Next Visit]
Thinking of my father’s upcoming retirement, I wanted to visit again with my parents. I’d love to share the peacefulness and rich experiences 🌳.
Our time here reminded me that “Travel is ultimately about people.” The warm hospitality and special memories will remain in our hearts 💓. I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone planning a trip to Zhangjiajie ✅. Thank you to all the staff, who felt like friends and family. It’s a blessing to have crossed paths with them. We look forward to visiting again 🌺

TThereseWe had a very nice stay, we stayed 3 people in one room. The room we stayed in was very big and had its own unique style. It was very clean. The hotel is very close to the South Gate of the park. It's a little hidden away from the road, but they were very quick to come and pick us up and drove us to the park entrance every day free of charge. Breakfast eggs come from free range chicken on the ground and they were excellent. Over all the food was very good. It's a small hotel run by a family and they are all very nice and helpful with planning your stay. Location is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

AAnonymous UserI had a wonderful experience during my stay at this hotel. What stood out the most was the exceptional service provided by an employee at the counter named Meesa. She went above and beyond to assist us, offering great restaurant recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed, including providing water during our multi-night stay.
Her dedication and genuine care for guests truly reflect the high standards of hospitality that every hotel should strive for. Meesa is an excellent example of service-minded professionalism, and her efforts made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel and applaud the team for their commitment to great service.
I had a pleasant stay overall, but there was an issue on the first night that affected my experience. My sleep was disrupted due to a strong smell of smoke coming from another room, which somehow entered my room. This was disappointing as it impacted my comfort during the stay.

GGuest UserOur holidaying at Zhangjiajie was memorable not just because of the most astounding natural beauty of the place but also because of one of the most memorable experiences at the hotel we stayed in: ‘Harmona Resort and Spa’. The warm and friendly staff here created a very welcoming atmosphere.
We experienced excellent customer service with friendly and approachable attitude displayed by every member of the staff. They had the ability to anticipate needs of guests and respond promptly.
Though we did not know Mandarin, we never felt isolated because of the extra length the staff went to translate using technology.
The staff also handled specific requests quickly and were excellent in resolving issues. We had problem with our electrical plugs and adapters. Cherry from the Front Desk patiently spent hours and found a solution that allowed us to charge all our electronics on the local system.
The staff particularly at the restaurants displayed cultural awareness and showed sensitivity to our vegetarian meal requests.
Special mention must be made of Front Desk Staff particularly Cherry who positively responded instantaneously to any of our requests.
Housekeeping Staff also responded immediately to our request for sorting out the WiFi issue.
I and my wife would like to specially thank Hq Du, an extremely pleasant and helpful lady at the restaurant where we had our daily breakfast. Donghua and Fang ant this place also went out of the way to make the daily breakfast an experience to remember. All the three anticipated our needs and were always friendly and cheerful. They walk the talk in customer service. When my wife did not go for buffet breakfast as she was working out, they insisted on packing the breakfast for her. Also, on the day we were leaving, they packed take away food for the road. This was highly thoughtful of them.
We would also like to thank Roland, Yuan Quioyun and Lora from the Chinese restaurant, who prepared for us off-the-menu Chinese vegetarian dishes which proved to be very delicious.
Overall, we had an incredibly lovely experience at this resort and would strongly recommend visitors to Zhangjiajie to stay at this place.

GGuest UserA wonderful place! Cozy, clean, modern. The manager is a sweetheart. I recommend you book your tours through him since it’s cheaper. The hotel is near food night market, where you can try delicious foods. I recommend you try baked buns with mutton from a Muslim place there. They’re the best

AAnonymous UserThe hotel room is beautifully decorated, the bedding is very clean, the mattress is large and comfortable, the owner is very friendly and enthusiastic about providing travel suggestions, and there are free hand-drawn maps. The hotel is only one kilometer away from the east gate entrance of Wulingyuan, and it takes 15 minutes to walk. There are food and drinks nearby, which is very convenient
