Residenza Mediterranea

You will need a car if you are staying here.It's a long walk down to the beach via a very steep road with busy traffic. This resort is on a very good site with wonderful views, but the apartments are something else. They have everything but it is terribly cramped . The units are not suitable for more than two adults as there is little room or privacy and with the door shut at night or in bad weather the unit is quite bleak and depressing We found the bed uncomfortable. It had a cross spring base which offered little support to the mattress. We put additional material between us and the mattress to make it more comfortable. The bathroom was adequate although we only got reasonable hot water from the shower. The towels were those we haven't seen in Italy for a long time, thin with the same thickness as a tea towel. The kitchen was fairly basic and not great for those wanting to do self catering. No microwave or oven. The units are very close together and when people are on the verandah other guest's presence and noise can be intrusive. The unheated pool which can reached by lift is OK but the furniture is basic and it sported just two sun umbrellas when we were there. The resort gives the impression of having fallen on hard times. Built a long time ago with minimum upkeep and only basic maintenance..yet people keep coming....mainly they are Italians. This is a lovely part of the world. If you want a good stay try the Blu Tropical which has both a hotel and self catering apartments...and access to a lovely beach RCI members beware...this resort should be on zilch points or if paying ...the least you can pay ie around £ 30 a night. Good staff..with an uphill struggle

I'm writing in English in order to let the most people understand what I mean, so you'll be so kind to forgive my grammar :-) If you want to visit Italy and want as well spend a couple of days on the beach, you should take a look to Calabria and if you visit Calabria, you should take a look to Zambrone. The town is perfectly located and works as ideal headquarter for your 1-day journeys discovering the beauty of this corner of the "Boot". If you go to Zambrone, you must stay at "Residenza Mediterranea". The owner, Mr. Catalano ist the best host you can wish yourself and, even if the place is not near to the beach, you have a shuttle in price included (a car for rent is not a bad idea anyway...). The rooms are small but good equipped and you can cook by yourself if you want. There are a Patio, where you can have your meals, a Pool if the weather is not the best and a Playground for the kids too. The place is clean and generally well kept and everything works as it should. In a nutshell, if you book in this residence, I think you won't regret it. I wish you all a nice holiday in Calabria ;-)

Il villaggio è davvero un'ottima struttura dove poter trascorrere una splendida vacanza! È doveroso fare i complimenti anche a tutto lo staff dell'animazione (Fabrizio, Ginevra e Gabriel), ragazzi davvero eccezionali che con la loro bravura hanno reso ancora più piacevole la nostra vacanza.

Posto incantevole, tranquillo, immerso nel verde, con tutti i servizi necessari per trascorrere una vacanza in famiglia. Personale gentilissimo e ragazzi dell'animazione simpatici e disponibile. Si raggiunge la spiaggia con il servizio navetta e anche la piscina situata all'interno del residence rende il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Ritornerò

Zambrone nel ❤️, si sta bene, non il solito caos delle località turistiche, il residence poi offre tutto ciò che puoi chiedere, comodissimo l'ascensore che ti porta in piscina se non vuoi fare le scale, la posizione strategica dello stesso ti offre molte mete turistiche a portata, staff preparato e gentilissimo, un grazie ai ragazzi dell'animazione, Fabrizio, Ginevra (con le sue attività fitness) e Gabriel, ci siamo trovati benissimo e penso proprio che ritorneremo il prossimo anno!

Esperienza nel complesso positiva, una piccola perla nella natura, siamo stati le 2 settimane di ferragosto, e abbiamo trovato tantissime attività e giochi proposti dalla maragú animazione (grazie a Fabrizio Gabriel e Ginevra, i nostri figli non fanno che parlare di voi a casa ) , si sta bene e si dorme meglio, la navetta fornita dal residence offre davvero poche corse, abbiamo dovuto far da noi, ma siamo piuttosto soddisfatti
