Hotel is good breakfast every thing you need for a start of the day plenty sunbeds lovely looking Hotel will be back 5 star for us but don't use the private taxi from the hotel it 25 euros to the airport should be 15 euros but hotel is good staff lovely

Another fantastic holiday, I've read alot of people complaining about room tax, it has nothing to do with the hotel it's a government thing, Been coming to this hotel for 10 years, Maria , Dennis and family are truly lovely people often seen around the hotel, tetta on reception is a really nice lady, we didn't have a clothes airer on the balcony so I mentioned it to her , first thing in the morning I opened the door to our room and a brand new one outside, We had a lovely family room 3rd floor perfect for myself, husband and 23yr old daughter, ideal with the sliding divide door, we have stayed on all four floors and liked every room we have had, I've also read people complaining the tea and coffee is never replaced , it is only meant to be a welcome drink as they are a bed and breakfast hotel, which provides as much tea and coffee as you want in the restaurant with breakfast, a couple of bad reviews should never stop you booking to stay here, after all you can't please everyone all the time, we will see you all again soon x

We have been using this hotel for 6 years sometimes twice a year, but this time is our last. We have always rated this highly but the standards have fallen well down to 2 star, at check in the receptioist saw my wife's walking aid and said " we are not disabled friendly " then proceede to check us in and charge us £150 for tax - safe and air con. The room was still up to standard but the qualittee and selection of food was poor at breakfast ( no eggs for 3 days ) , one food warmer still had a broken lid that was like that 2 years ago. Outside the children's play area wa used as a dumping ground for broken doors and frames, level 1 that had easy access to the lift from outside had the door between room 2 and the lift was locked and blocked with furntiure, and just to finish we were locked out at 0055 at night and eventually the night manager came and said " CAN'T YOU CLIMB THE FIRE ESCAPE? " my wife said " what with this " pointing to her walking frame. sadly we won't be using this hotel again as i was a lovely hotel and we have good memories of our previos stays

Honest opinion of our stay at Ionion Blue ,Kalamaki ,Zante. Location -10 Appearance -9 Room (Superior) -7 Cleanliness -8 Sunbeds - 5 Breakfast -3 (Selection V Poor) Air Con -2 (Price & Efficiency) Value for money 5/10 EXTRA PAYMENTS ON ARRIVAL- Air Con Wanted 196 € / -Paid €168 Safe -€40 Tax €70 In comparison to Cava Suites where we normally stay our genuine opinion is we expected a similar experience or better ,but unfortunately we would not return to Ionion Blue . Our view is Neutral ..Not Brilliant but an Average hotel that could & should offer better value for money given its location & appearance. A number of fellow guests have also made similar comments whilst here of their experience. A more detailed opinion can be forwarded if requested or will update upon return. Hope this is helpful. We hope this review is given as our personal opinion only and is not intended to put off anybody who has already booked as all experiences & opinions differ. Cheers.

Great location (5 mins from airport). Good value. Fantastic staff. Hotel was sadly closing for the winter, so we could only stay 2 nights. However, they staff made every effort even though it was right at the end of the season and we were literally the only guests

Lovely hotel but my original room I was given was a corner one, massive, 1 double , 3 singles but a dull room and smallest balcony. I asked to be moved and was given a top floor . The room was better but the shower had a sliding door missing. The rest of the hotel is excellent in every way. The young lady behind the bar and in the breakfast was so pleasant and helpful. Plenty of food choice, big pool bar and 5 mins to the beach and main bars. Rooms were cleaned every day and staff were polite and cheerful. Ive had a few solo holidays and been given inferior rooms so if your going on your own try and stipulate what type of room you require and read other reviews

We arrived 2pm very helpful reception paid our tax and went straight to the room the room was basic but clean lots of hanging space lovely balcony. The bathroom was nice walk in shower big head shower which if you use you flood the bathroom so we used the hand held shower. Nice big tv bbc news 24/7 but other then that no English channels the hotel is situated just 5 mins to main strip and about 10 mins to beach so positioning was perfect. The breakfast was very good hot and cold selections. Pool area was clean and always beds available at any part of day. If your coming to Kalamaki you can’t go wrong loved our 2 weeks while we were away we had a bit of rain and this made the mozzys come out and we received a few bites. Also the flys did get annoying whilst out having meals would definitely come back to the hotel.

This is my third time in a row to the fabulous Ionion Blue Hotel and like every visit, this was just perfect! A fabulous stay as always with brilliant and very helpful staff from the room cleaners who did a brilliant job, the bar and restaurant staff who were very helpful and the amazing Tetta on the reception desk who was excellent and very helpful and helped with all our needs and went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable in many ways. I don't really eat breakfast, but the choice given at this hotel is just perfect, with a good choice for everyone. The hotel is clean and tidy and overall very good. It's set in the Zakynthos countryside, so don't be surprised if sheep cross your path. 10 minutes walk to either Crystal Beach or Kalamaki Beach and a two minute walk to the main strip for shops or restaurants. A perfect location for everybody. We loved our stay and yes, we will return! One great holiday, so thanks to all who made it this way! See you next year and thanks again!

Though a bit dated, we had a very pleasant stay. Room cleaned daily but a bit more attention to detail regarding changing cups etc. would have elevated this service further. Rooms were spacious with decent air conditioning. Pool area was nice and there was an excellent pool bar. Kelvin in the pool bar was exceptionally helpful, friendly and kind. His lovely nature elevated our stay. Reception staff were helpful when we wanted to hire a car and arrange taxi’s. This hotel is not super modern but was good value for the money we paid. It’s in a good location- walking distance to Main Street in kalamaki and several bars and restaurants
