Canadian Hotel

Unless you're below the age of 25 DO NOT come here! It's a VERY rowdy, party hotel! Great if you're young, but a nightmare if you're looking for a peaceful holiday. Noise ALL night long, doors banging, shouting, arguing, singing, music in rooms etc. Can be very intimidating. George is a great friendly guy & catering to the younger crowd is what he does best! He's an amazing person for front of house & builds great rapport with guests, very knowledgeable too. Food is good & reasonably priced.

Hotel was a 10/10. Facilities were clean and well looked after by cleaners. The room was modern. The food was brilliant, they have a wide variety of foods and it all tastes amazing. The bar staff were very friendly and looked after us very well. The manager of the bar George looked after us from start to finish providing us with complimentary drinks, and by giving us advice on the area to make sure we were safe. His bar staff were also amazing and we billy good relationships throughout. Couldn’t recommend anymore, especially for large groups of friends.

For insight, this holiday was mine and my friends ‘first girls’ holiday. We are all 18 years old and were very excited about Zante being our destination. Firstly, to explain, my eight friends and I paid the additional fee for the upgraded ‘Premium Rooms’. However, upon arrival, we were charged €70 per room for the air conditioning, €15 per device for the Wi-Fi, and there was also an additional charge for the safe. I attempted to explain to the receptionist that we had already paid the extra charge for the upgraded room, which clearly states that the air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, are included within the price of the ‘premium room’ (as seen in the first attached image). However, she was adamant that since we had booked with a third party, ‘LoveHolidays’, and not directly through ‘The Canadian Hotel’ website, we were required to pay on top of what we had already paid for the room. This meant that we essentially paid for the Wi-Fi and air conditioning twice, as on ‘LoveHolidays’, it states that you receive the free Wi-Fi and air conditioning included within the price you pay for the rooms. After this dispute we accepted the charges and we were giving our room keys and proceeded to check out the rooms. The section of the hotel where we were staying in was two story section and it did not have a lift, so we all had to carry our suitcases up the stairs without ant hotel staff offering to assist. Once we arrived at our rooms, we were greeted with a room that was hotter than the sun. It was 43 degrees Celsius outside, with the sun shining directly through the balcony door, which made the room even hotter acting like a greenhouse. At this point It was clear that we could not live in that room for the next 7 days without the air conditioning. I made a call to the receptionist at the commencement of our holiday to inquire about the cleaning schedule for our rooms. The receptionist informed me that room cleaning is a separate request that needs to be made on the day, which I understand and accept. I also enquired about fresh clean towels I was informed that again they are changed every three days but would be changed upon request. Given the hot environment and our frequent shower usage, I requested fresh towels daily. Each morning, I would contact reception and request three large towels, three small towels, and one bath mat for myself and the two other female guests in our room. On one of the mornings when we left the room for the day, we had placed a sign on the door to indicate that the room was empty and that the cleaner was free to enter and freshen up the room and I requested the fresh towels as I had done each day prior, also leaving the dirty towels in a pile near the door indicating that they were dirty just like any other hotel ive stayed in, however upon our return to the room that afternoon after an event to get ready for the evening, i discovered that none of the beds had been made. The bar Savvy at Canadian hotel is great.....5/5*..... Staff there is very very friendly,they take time to get to know you. And the drinks are great-huge menu list for coctails and food. Prices are normal for Laganas. Will come back for sure...

We stayed in a premium room which was modern and cleaned every day. Not a far walk from main strip about 10-15 minute walk.would definitely recommend this hotel for a group holiday as it caters for young groups . Extra charges for lost room key and aircon and safe etc but Security are very cautious with loud noise at night

good hotel close to everything new rooms excellent upgrade! staff excellent/2pool areas and bars the only downside hotel caters for mainly teenagers and can be noisy especially at night!!! laganas is a party town but a lot of nice restaurants and a few bars for older people! found one called the pub ! tribute acts ect would return probably to a more adult friendly hotel tho!
