Exotica Hotel & Spa by Zante Plaza

On reading some reviews we were a tad worried about going here ! But wrong we loved it gutted to be home if I’m honest :( I wonder how some people judge as I feel it is just another level of spoiling the good for others. Ok so we arrived there was some confusion over how many of us there were and we were put in a small room with put you up bed but the next morning straight on it once rooms etc were sorted and we were upgraded to a massive one with patio etc it was so lovely so thanx guys only downside was the cleaners could do with rubber wheels lol so noisy very early in the mornings with there trolleys and the noise above the rooms was harsh with scraping chairs all hours rubber feet maybe lol . The food was scrumptious and we’ve put on a ton of weight always something different spoilt for choice , Now the bar man is a grumpy one but understandable being as it’s late season but the lovely Elsa who was always smiling and super lovely well made up for him sorry grumpy bar man my bad She knew exactly what drinks we wanted from day one without asking and made mean cocktails for adults and kids daughter loved that too hubbie misses your skills and your smiles thanx Elsa . Then there was Alexis ,Alex to all the lifeguard which are few and far between in Greece so loved that . Upon reading about said grumpy lifeguard we were again worried but in all honesty that man is a diamond he even taught our daughter who has adhd and sensory processing how to manage and gain confidence in the pool he was attentive and constantly watching for the safety of all so thanx Alexis , we watched children running around the pools etc people need to be more aware of the safety rules as accidents can go bad no fault of him explaining at all ! Even our own lifeguards in the uk deal with things much more harsh . All in all our best holiday yet amazing staff couldn’t do enough for you always happy to help and the place was beautiful what more could you ask for ooh almost forgot it’s brilliant that the planes go right over your heads sounds amazing and doesn’t go on late at night either hope to be back soon missing you all from Carl Char and Harmony in the not so sunny uk

Brilliant stay at Exotica, me and my wife loved it from the moment we walked in. Arrived a few hours before check in time but Mary on reception greeted us and said the room (free upgrade) was ready for us . She was great our whole stay, always had a good chat when passing. Always helpful. Thank you! X Went straight for lunch once we’d dropped our bags in the room and the food was really nice. Lots to choose from as we found with every meal. Breakfast nice and evening meals too, we didn’t eat out once as we liked it so much! We can’t praise the staff enough. Don’t know names but everyone was nice and friendly, Sofi (housekeeping) was lovely and spoke to her every morning - great standard of cleaning too. Albana in the restaurant too, lovely lady and all are really friendly. Every afternoon after being at the beach (very nice - Belesis Kalamaki beach bar) we relaxed around the pool area listening to the music from the pool bar and having drinks… good snack food in the afternoon too. Was nice if you miss lunch there’s wrapped up sandwiches, chips, chicken nuggets, cheeseburgers sometimes. Never go thirsty or hungry here . We were in room 338 situated facing towards the airport on the 2nd floor looking towards the mountains. Room was great and what a view ! Planes don’t fly during the night so no noise issues. Overall nothing to grumble about and we would highly recommend staying here. I already have been telling friends and family they need to come ! Was peaceful and nicely located as other reviews state. See you all again sometime, we will definitely stay here again when we next come to Zakynthos. This was our first ever time and we didn’t want to come home! Absolutely loved my stay here ,the food was amazing ,we are out and we would definitely say the food was better at the hotel.. Staff are amazing ,friendly and very helpful ,nothing is a problem .. So quiet and chilled ... The pool is cold but not unbearable ,took a day to get used to it .. The rooms are very clean and tidy ,the only thing I would say is they need to put a mirror where the hairdryer is .Beds are very comfy ,and the shower is lovely . Central to lots of things ,lots of amenities ,shops bars etc ... Have thoroughly enjoyed my stay ,will be back x

We spent 7 days in this hotel and we love it so much. Very nice territory with garden, clean room and very friendly stuff. Very good restaurant with tasty food, every day something new. The most important thing is drinks and cocktails, we have been in many hotels with concepts all-inclusive, but in Exotika is really high quality. Recommend!

OMG I didn’t know what to expect I obviously read reviews I came to Zante 3 years ago with my husband and met my brother here for 6 nights We stayed in the Venus hotel Kalamaki about 1 mile from the airport. Fantastic hotel was bed and breakfast and even though Zakinthos was in lockdown and no where else we still had an amazing time. 2 weeks ago I decided to book Zante again The Venus hotel was fully booked and the closest was Exotica. A 4* all inclusive practically next door. I literally had no expectations. To us it was a hotel room with a very good price. We were delayed on BA flight and landed at 10:30pm Check in was very quick and very well explained When we got to our room it was impressively large. 2 bedrooms and spotless We overslept and missed breakfast We made lunch and it was truly amazing I will put pictures on Prawn salad followed by fish and potatoes Extremely tasty Now I’m buzzing to try dinner We turned down dinner with my family to try the hotel all inclusive dinner. It was absolutely delicious. I was so impressed that I had to write this review. I cannot fault this hotel and would definitely return The staff are amazing ( like most Greek people) and I’m only 2 days in and in awe at the hard working staff. The drinks are local - so no international brands but all soft drinks are branded. Today’s snacks around the pool were chicken nuggets chips pizza selection of salads and freshly made crepes. I’m super impressed by this 4* all inclusive hotel and if you read my other reviews you can see I’m an Ikos lover If in Zante I highly recommend this hotel Big big thumbs up Thank you chef and all staff for making my short stay amazing ❤️

I visited Exotica with my family and it's safe to say l wouldn't ever stay here again. Make up your own mind from what I'm about to tell you. Arrival: - Transfer from the airport was arranged through a private company. We were left waiting at the airport for approx 1.5 hours before we were picked up by a taxi and taken to the hotel (even when we chased the lady multiple times about the transfer and it was 11pm) - When we arrived at the hotel, the main lady on reception (she's quite tall and seems to be the main receptionist) was cold and rude to us. We specitically requested 2 rooms that are close together before we visited via email and even confirmed with the receptionist that this was the case. She asked us to follow her outside, she pointed in a general direction to where the rooms where and then said we would find it. (The rooms were on 2 completely separate floors despite us being assured they were near to each other) Rooms: - Just awful. The light fixtures are falling off of the ceiling. - No lift access. Be prepared to carry suitcases up 3 flights of stairs if you're on the top floor. - Bedding was never clean. The sheets had various marks on them and even cigarette burn holes. The duvet in the wardrobe had very suspicious white stains all over it. - The drain in the shower kept flooding which caused water to leak into the room as there is only a glass door separation. - Water pressure awful. Temperature of said water was either freezing or would burn your skin. - No clean towels. The cleaner took our towels and then never replaced them. When I went to reception to ask for some, I was faced with 2 reception ladies blaming me for missing towels. Ps towels always smell like sewage as they are kept in a room next to the toilets at reception. - Electric went out completely for approx 1 hour. - All water was shut off for a couple hours with no prior notice. - Website may state that there are twin rooms. There isn't. All rooms come with a double/king bed that cannot be separated (despite being assured in an email prior to visit that we would have a twin room) Staff: - Elsa (pool bar) is an absolute gem. She is so polite and really made the holiday for us. She's absolutely perfect and cannot fault her one bit. - The male receptionist who is there for the night shift is so unbelievably rude. When the electric went off, I went down to report and ask for a time of when it will be back on. The male receptionist said "I already know" and "I'm not a technician, how would I know when it comes back on" - Lifeguard is on a power trip. Pick and chooses who to have a moan at and what to complain about. Came up to my family and shouted at us for not being in the pool with a child (the child wasn't even ours!). One day you're allowed pool floaties and to go under the bridge, another you will get shouted at by the lifeguard. Food: - To be honest, the food actually wasn't too bad. Quite repetitive, but I kind of expected that. Greek night was nice, as were
