The overall feeling of the hotel is okay. Is it cheap after all? The mutton rice noodles for breakfast at the mutton restaurant in front of the hotel are delicious. The freshly baked sesame cakes at the noodle restaurant next to it are delicious when they are hot. My wife and I went together and she ordered a bowl of soup priced at 12. I ordered a bowl for RMB 20. I felt that RMB 12 for a bowl was enough for breakfast. I had a bit too much meat, so I had a bowl of mutton soup noodles and half a sesame seed cake per person. The food was very satisfying and I was still thinking about it after driving more than 20 kilometers.

Originally there were only the slippers in the picture 3 in the room, but you can ask the front desk for disposable slippers. Ctrip didn't say that a deposit was required. The hotel is probably owned by a local state-owned enterprise. It has a very high floor. However, the attitude of the waiter who just entered the door and went through the formalities was very average. Could it be that the current front desk staff just takes the ID card, gives the room card, and tells the breakfast time and the location of the restaurant? , that’s it, nothing else was said, nothing about hotel Wi-Fi or anything like that. The triple room is quite large, it is a standard room with a bed. The TV is very small, the bathroom is very big, but the toilet lid is bad. The boss is more kind and the service response is OK. Hot water is also stable. But because of the humming noise of hot water equipment all night on the top floor, it seems that the noise of vehicles on the side of the road is nothing. This is the biggest shortcoming. Since there are no other rooms to change on holidays, I can endure it for one night.

Excellent
EEnnaVery clean room, conveniently located right in front of the terrace. Great photos. For foreign guests looking for coffee and the usual morning fare, there is a coffee shop within 4 minutes of walking. This was a very nice place to retreat to for a few days of crisp, mountain air, solitude and great hiking.....and beautiful photography, especially if you have a drone

ZzuriahI would say everything was great except the room.
Location -- this is the main reason I choose the place. The rice terrace is in front of your room. Superb. There is rooftop to see sunrise too However, the place is not accessible for car. You need to park your car at car park around 300m from the hotel, call the hotel to pick up your luggage and you walk to the hotel by foot. It's not suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Service'-- toiletries are generous. Breakfast is great with various options. Rooms are cleaned daily with new top up of toiletries and slippers. We can do laundry too. Detergent are provided.
Why I give amenities 2 stars only? It's because I meed somewhere to give feedback on the room. I stayed for 3 nights at 2nd floor. There are 3 rooms of the same kind. However, my room has weird design. While the other two have perfect squarie room and spacious, our room, at thr most corner is smaller with bad design. There are wall built to cut off a space around 2x3 m. See pictures. It”s hard to put our luggage. There is sofa without tables. I suspect no space to add a table as it will block to walk way, not so confortable.

When you are tired from playing outside, you can come back to the inn, take a rest in the cafe on the first floor, sit around the fireplace and chat, drink coffee and eat a simple meal, feeling relaxed and leisurely. The two girls make great coffee and light meals! We had breakfast at Haniweidao, which was free and the owner cooked it with great care. He added stir-fried vegetables and fried eggs to the rice noodles. The rooms in the inn are clean, and the beds and bedding are comfortable.

SSteven DowsonQuite tricky to find, down a single lane road, but car parking available next to hotel (20 yuan). Very friendly and welcoming owner, everything very clean and thoughtful design of rooms and communal areas. Rooftop terrace perfect for star-gazing and sunrise - we booked a room with an east view which was lovely in the evening when we arrived but quickly got very warm in the morning, this would be great in winter but maybe the cool rooms on the other side of the hotel are better in summer. Excellent breakfast of noodles, very comfortable room and bed, the hotel is on the edge of an authentic village and we spent a few hours wandering around the rice terraces in the morning. Highly recommended.

GGuest UserWe had a fantastic 4 night stay at Rice Field Ideal Homestay. The room was very comfortable, with a great bed, and every time we looked out the window, we had to pinch ourselves because the view was absolutely stunning. The guesthouse is located just above the Blue Terrace, not far from Azheke Village (mushroom houses) and a few minutes drive from the Duoyishu Terrace. Xiao Gao, the owner, is a local. He took amazing care of us, upgraded us and made sure we had the best stay. When he realized we had no means of transportation, he drove us himself to various terraces and viewing points in his car.
Reaching Yuanyang can be a little tricky, so here is how we got there: we took a train from Kunming to Jianshui, and contacted Rice Field Ideal Homestay on WeChat to ask for a transfer by car. It cost 120 yuan/person, and the drive from Jianshui to the Blue Terrace took about 2.5 hours. Easy peasy.
We highly recommend staying there and hope to be back one day. Xiao Gao and all his family are amazing people.

GGuest UserThe inn is located close to the sunrise viewing platform, about 10 minutes' walk away, which is quite convenient and successfully avoids traffic congestion, especially on holidays. The conditions of the inn are average, but very clean. The innkeeper is very nice. We wanted to hike with our children, and he recommended routes for us and took us through the places where we are most likely to get lost. Although the whole hiking process was a little regrettable, the whole family was very happy and satisfied. Let me talk about the boss's cooking skills. The food is really good and the portion is big. We, three adults and two children, had three dishes and one soup and were all full. In short, the two children were full of praise.

TTravis and ElishaWhat a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea.
Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset.
There are 2 good restaurants a 10 minute uphill walk away, or Lucian can cook you meals, which are also great.
