Homewood Suites by Hilton Downers Grove Chicago

A Rest at Homewood suites at Hilton This was a great experience! The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The room was clean and comfortable. The extras were great, exercise room, in door pool, whirlpool, breakfast each morning, coffee and dessert available 24/7 in the lobby. Plenty of space to sit and lounge, a bar with access to bar food. The area is quiet and comfortable. Close to shopping and restaurants and the expressway. The kitchenette was a great plus; plates, cups, silverware, pans, microwave, refrigerator, stove everything available. We had two rooms so if I wanted to nap the French doors could close and someone could see the tv in the other room! We will visit again!!!!

The staff was very friendly. The room was beautiful. The shower was awesome and the products they use in the shower made your hair feel like you just left a salon. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Chicago. Thank you so much. It was a great stay.

Best Birthday Weekend in a While!!! I truly enjoyed my stay over my birthday weekend at the Homewood Suites by Hilton. I had a wonderful experience from the moment I arrived for check in to my last day. Staff was friendly and helpful, the lobby and room were cleaned to perfection of my liking. And everything worked properly in my room so all in all; no complaints and I would return in the future!

Check in was easy, despite not being offered water as a Honors Member. The women on days two seemed afraid to speak to me vs others in the area checking out. I didn’t like that either. Good hotel though.

The property is just as great as it looks, and the breakfast is fresh and well made every morning. It is actually a great perk. I will definitely be staying again.

Besides a decently comfortable bed and a full size fridge, the room feels very much like a shinier Super 8. The sheets are too small for the bed, they don't even have appropriately sized sheets for the Murphy bed (we asked 4 times), and they expect you to use your towels and trash can for up to five people for two days with no towel hooks or replacement bags (hence the shower curtain rod is sagging). But the worst part for me personally is that I sent a message to the hotel as I have with all others we stayed at requesting to be as close as possible to exits because of disabilities. Not only was that never acknowledged, but they actually put us at literally the very last room on the whole floor. I understand that maybe that's where the room type is that we booked, but I have no way of knowing that prior to booking and it would be nice to be offered a choice or at least warning. To add insult to injury, I was told at the desk if we needed anything to just call the front desk and they would bring it. The next night we tried but were first put on eternal hold and when I finally got through, I couldn't even finish my sentence before being interrupted to say housekeeping was gone and we just have to come down. A lot of what we planned we were unable to do just because it took so much strength to get down that stupid hall. Bottom line: it felt very much like the staff thought they were doing us a favor by letting us stay there.
