The Riverside Courtyard Hotel booked in Yangshuo was a pleasant surprise. As its name suggests, it is right by the Yulong River, with an elegant environment, quiet and private, and complete facilities. The hotel is located very close to the Qing'e Ferry Pier, and is within walking distance of the Gongnong Bridge and the Big Banyan Tree Scenic Area. All the hotel staff are very warm and friendly, the breakfast provided is also very rich, and the room number arranged is also very considerate. The housekeeper will notify the activities arranged in the afternoon and evening in advance in the group. We experienced the handmade fan rubbing and roasting sweet potatoes on the bonfire at night. Everyone chatted together in a very atmosphere. The whole hotel gave us the feeling of being at home, responding to customers' requests, and the service was full marks 💯, sincerely recommended! Yangshuo is great, I will come again in the future!

My family stayed at Metown hotel for three nights and it’s been a great experience!  The staff is very nice, friendly and very helpful!  The rooms is 100% as pictured on the site, very clean and cozy! The weather was a bit cold, so we used the ac for heating and it worked perfectly! Also, there are washing machines with driers on the roof, which is a very important facility for families with kids!  The view of the mountains is breathtaking from the roof!  We had a set breakfast on Friday morning, and buffet breakfast on the weekend! Nice selection, suitable for all the age groups!  The hotel has lots of amenities for kids: a little farm with cutest alpacas, bunnies and pigeons, a sand pit, indoor playground and even a little library! Also, there is a huge slide in the middle, which was fun to ride as our room was on the second floor!  The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, with little cafes and bike rentals around!  My kids received gifts when we were leaving!  Great and unforgettable experience! We would definitely come back to stay there again!

We would like to say a big thanks to all of the staff at the Tong Resort for our short but memorable stay. From a warm welcome to a fond farewell, Tong Resort gives everything you’d hope for. The hardware was all in good working order, the level of cleanliness was excellent and the service is on par or even better than international-level 5-star hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton. Quite outstanding! The hotel reached out to me prior to arrival day for check-in and special occasion arrangements. The hotel has a WeChat private service group where all of your requests can be disseminated at ease; with the nature of our trip being a birthday surprise celebration it was rather effective! The hotel offers private car pick-up service from Yangshuo Railway Station or you may also choose Didi. Upon arrival at Tong Resort, we were presented with welcome drinks, invited to be seated and were promptly escorted to our room. You can tell they have placed a lot of thought into the room features and design; they even embroidered the hotel logo into their bed linen. The hotel offers shuttle car services to and from West Street, this is one of the most famous global streets in China which is a must visit for all Yangshuo travelers. When we arrived back at the hotel, we were spoilt with free late night snacks sent to our room and most importantly the hotel did not forget about the birthday cake which was timely delivered at 00:00. The breakfast by the swimming pool was scrumptious. There is a choice between Asian and Western and you can select as many items as you wish from the menu which in turn gets freshly prepared for you. The team is doing such a good job; although the hotel has only been opened for 2 years, it seems as though the staff as been trained for over 10 years! What’s more, after check out whilst we were waiting at the lobby for Didi, a staff member had the attentiveness to place down glasses of water which she had no obligation for doing. What a nice gesture! At the end, essentially it’s these finer touches that sets a hotel from its counterparts.

A truly magnificent stay - highly recommend Even before I arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. I received a message the day before my reservation to call the hotel. When I called, they asked if they could send me a message on Wechat as they didn’t speak English. The staff simply wanted to know my eta so that they could turn the a/c on in the room to cool it down before I arrived. The hotel is more of a BnB set up than a hotel - similar to a house design. The building is 5 stories high with I guess around 4 rooms on each floor. This makes it perfect to escape the large tourist groups which frequent bigger hotels. When the taxi pulled up outside on the day of my arrival, 2 staff members rushed out to welcome me. Check-in was quick and they told me that they had upgraded me to a bigger room. They also asked me what I wanted for breakfast the next day as they had some different ‘Western’ options (think Chinese idea of Western but still okay). I was able to have toast and fried eggs every day. The room is really exquisite - I came alone but would definitely recommend for couples as the bathtub is heavenly. The two balconies offer beautiful views of the karst mountains. The room is also tastefully done up in wicker and white. And the bedding is luxurious. My only recommendation for the room is to add some sachets of instant coffee. The pool is perfect for a cool down and what a spectacular view from the loungers! I swam every day and every day while sitting by the pool, the staff brought me some refreshing lemon water to drink. In addition, every day of my stay they brought me something: day 1 - fresh watermelon and some blueberry thing (candy?), day 2 - baby tomatoes and more blueberry things day 3 - apples and peanuts. On checkout, they prepared a local snack and water bottle for the trip home. The staff at this hotel really go the extra mile and just about bend over backwards to serve you. It’s been a long time since I have seen such eager staff and it makes for a very pleasant change from bored receptionists on their phones. I cannot rate the hotel highly enough for their excellent hospitality service. The location is also perfect - away from the main ***** but an easy 15 minute walk to the river rafts and another 5-10min to the ‘town’ and a variety of eating options. That’s when you turn left when you get to the main road from the hotel (5min walk). Turn right at this road and you can comfortably walk (30 min?) to some other sites like the one with the hole in the mountain (overrated) and an exquisite cave - Dragon cave. If you like caves and the formations within I highly rate this cave. It is truly gorgeous. You can also rent bikes or a scooter 10m in front of the hotel. The staff do not speak English but they communicate via WeChat and are more than happy to help with anything. Overall a truly wonderful stay and cannot recommend enough! Thank you JingYunge

We have a great stay. The hotel was set up to provide the best experience for a family who wants to enjoy the beautiful Yangshuo area. On the first floor, you have a gorgeous lobby and a play area for the children. To accommodate the wondering minds of the kids, the hotel provided multiple acres of lawn for the kids to run around and enjoy. Then there are the bunnies. They are cute and their enclosure is cleaned daily. The room we had had a ball pit and an indoor tent for my girls to play in and they put them into good use for sure. On the fourth floor is the laundry. You will only see washers but they have the hanging type driers to dry your clothes in addition to normal hangers. The top floor features a small restaurant with a spectacular view of the Yulong River and Karst features behind it. The food is good and easily tastier than most of the street side restaurants out there and features dishes common and famous to the area, we had the beer fish and the stir fried mushrooms. It was savory and priced well below what they charge on West Street. On our third day, we went out and rented electric scooters around the river and for 35km we went around the hills and through villages. The hotel staff, 小张&小麦, welcomed us with warm smiles and drove us to west street for some dinner and shopping. What an awesome trip, this hotel was an highlight!

The room is super beautiful! You can see the beautiful scenery of Yangshuo while lying on the bed. It is also very close to the end of the rafting and it is very convenient to go to the Ten-mile Gallery. There is an electric car rental next to the hotel, which is very convenient for travel. The front desk lady is also very enthusiastic to help introduce various attractions and tour routes. It is now off-season. The boss and the boss's wife are also very nice. It feels very friendly to chat with you. They came back very late at night and asked us if we wanted to eat glutinous rice balls. The rice noodles for breakfast are also delicious! The cafe on the third floor is beyond the picture, and the milk tea and coffee are very delicious. The coffee is definitely not the kind of instant coffee, but a very fragrant coffee. The milk tea is also full of milk flavor. The overall experience is very good! I will come again next time if I have a chance!

We are a family of 4 with 2 young children who stayed for 4 nights at SYYF. This is easily one of the best hotels that we have stayed in. The staff’s service was impeccable, warm and prompt. Our room was clean and faced amazing mountain views. The location at ten mile gallery was peaceful yet perfect for travelling to other sights in Yangshuo. Our children absolutely loved the lavish breakfast buffet spread and we had delicious dinner at the hotel for 3 nights straight. When we went out to West Street and had difficulty getting a taxi back to the hotel, a staff personally drove the hotel car to pick us up. The hotel even arranged for a complementary transfer to transport us to Yangshuo train station at the end of our stay. I cannot compliment the staff enough for their amazing service and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! 

This hotel is perfect if you are an influencer because in this hotel everything looks so beautiful. The thing I was most impressed with was one of the drinks （within the afternoon tea service） they provide for free if stay in here. It is called the “after-raining” Yulong River. This drink has three layers which are tea, coffee, and cheezy cream. The way it mixes altogether seems exactly like the river. Beautiful and I loved it. The staff (her name is yuanyuan /xiao wei) was quite helpful. Arranged the baby's crib, and a wall thing under the mattress to prevent the baby fall off from bed as I asked. The hotel has a nice playground which my son loved. As I foreigner though there is not much staff fluent in English so if you cannot speak in Chinese, there are some times you might feel inconvenienced though. They provide us with free transportation service. So I used it to go to one of the sightseeing spots. The driver said he would pick me up at the same spot I got off but a different driver came so it took me a while to find the driver because the car was different. Therefore if you are not good at communicating in Chinese. Sometimes it is a hassle I would say. Also, the baby crib was a bit too small for my 90cm son. It was just the size they had.

A Magical Honeymoon in Yangshuo – Unforgettable Experience! Our honeymoon in Yangshuo was nothing short of magical! The scenery left us speechless—breathtaking mountains, serene rivers, and an atmosphere of pure tranquility. It felt like a dream come to life. The staff at our stay made the experience even more special. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and patient, always ensuring we had everything we needed. Despite the language barrier, they went above and beyond to assist us with warmth and understanding. The food was simply amazing! Every meal was a delight, and we truly enjoyed exploring the flavors of the region. The afternoon tea was a lovely touch, keeping us warm and relaxed as we soaked in the views. Plus, having fresh exotic fruits in our room at all times was such a thoughtful and refreshing treat. A special shoutout to Lynn—she is an absolute gem! Her hospitality made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. And a huge thank you to TiaTia for capturing stunning photographs of my wife—memories we will cherish forever. If you’re looking for a place that combines natural beauty, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is it. Highly recommended!

This was our favorite hotel during our travels across many cities in China! We wish we could have stayed longer. It's located in the scenic 10-Mile Gallery of Yangshuo surrounded by mountains and next to the peaceful Yulong river. Rooms had amazing views and were clean and comfortable. Service from all the staff was excellent especially Xiao Long who helped us arrange several outings and tours. The on site food is great and there is free laundry unit. The children had so much fun watching the fishing birds, feeding small animals, and many different activities (archery, playground, soccer, etc.). We will definitely return to this paradise!
