Ulasan Xiamen Hotel (Zhongshan Road Wanshi Botanical Garden Hotel)

The hotel is surprisingly new and well equipped. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy. Most notable is their friendly and considerate services. My elder sister asked for a map. Instead of pointing to a shelf just behind her, the staff walked out from behind the counter, showed her the shelf and explained some of the tourist spots to her. Due to different room-type, our 5 rooms were situated in 2 different buildings. The superviser was around and assisted with the rooms' arrangement very efficiently. Very impressive. Nearby mrt, park and some local eateries. Highly recommended. 酒店有点历史，但应该进行过升级，设施和装潢都挺新的。房间很干净，床也舒服。冲凉房里可以控制电视机的音量！酒店的服务更是贴心。我的大姐背后的架子，询问服务人员有没有地图。那位小姐姐直接从柜台后绕出来，带我大姐到架子边，还向我大姐讲解一些地图上的景点。我们是兄弟姐妹十人出行，订的5个房间在不同楼栋。当时酒店主管在场，马上让工作人员整理房间，把我们都安排在一栋楼里。非常贴心和有效率。 酒店靠近公园、地铁站和一些当地食肆，很方便。强力推荐。

Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Welcome fruits are given to guests. The toilet at hotel lobby are clean, when call for room service they are very fast and responsive. Even for short stay they remember you. I will recommend my friends to stay this hotel if they are going to Xiamen.

Xiamen Hotel is very well-located. It is only a few minutes walk from the closest underground, and Zhong Shan Pedestrian Street. The hotel facilities are in good conditions. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Some of the speak good English. Tea is served throughout the day in the lobby, and there was even some activities for children during the May 1st holiday. I highly appreciated the fact that access to washing machines is free and there is even washing liquid in guest rooms. We very much enjoyed our stay in Xiamen.

Despite of some issues, such as none of non-smoking room was available and it was hard to communicate in English, all of hotel staffs were kind and tried to help us as best as they could.

Great place to stay! Reception and service counter are extremely helpful and deserving of all the good recognition. Was served by reception person (number 61 and 90), great service and thank you for the memorable stay!

A comfortable family trip in Xiamen. The staff are really nice and sweet which makes the traditional Hotel out of expectation. The weather is not so favourable in early April, but our trip was carefree for a two nights stay with wonderful location near Zhongshan Park and the famous botanical garden. One thing that I feel pity though is that no swimming pool facility in the Hotel, so we travelled a bit to a nearby indoor pool.

The hotel is spacious and comfortable. We had a good time staying here with my kids. The location is also very central and convenient, near to Zhongshan park and zhongshan walking street.

Although the hotel is old, the room is big and spacious! Breakfast is very good too! With changed varieties daily!

Clean bedding and spacious room, the surroundings make you feel like living inside a botanical garden, so relaxing, front desk staffs are all very helpful and friendly, special thanks to staff 098 and 061 for helping out, will come back!

Old fashion design Hotel but very convenient for tourists to move around. Shuttle service provided from hotel to South Gate which is very close to Zhongshan Metro Station.

Good location and good service, many attractions in the vicinity of the hotel. Particular thanks to staff 120 for the kind guidance.

I’ve booked non-smoking rooms and thankfully there’s no smoke or stale smell in the room. Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. My family enjoyed their stay. Breakfast can be improved though.

Not sound proof, you can hear the talking clearly outside the door, or argument in the other room at night. The quality of shampoo and conditioner is awful, Bring you own.

This is one of the most traditional and well respected hotels in Xiamen, rooms are spacious and furnished well, but are a little old. The walk in wardrobe and balcony was a nice touch that really improved the experience, and taxis are really affordable. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the Botanical Garden (just across the crosswalk) and is about a 5 minute walk to the subway. There are convenience stores around and also a macdonalds (which i did not visit). Reception and staff are warm and extremely polite, although they are not so good in English. Speaking Chinese or using a translator would help.
