Simple Palace is nestled in the location famously known for traditional art & crafts along Shu Yuan Men. An old traditional house with awesomely decorated Chinese courtyards (& rooftop patio with views of the ancient city walls) furnished with rustic furnitures and plants giving us a whole new staying experience in Xian city. Since it is located in the art & crafts community, shopping for Xian/Chinese souverniers made it much easier for us especially for last minute topups. Xiao Du, the manager of Simple Palace was indeed a couteous & super helpful person. He willingly help us in coordinating some of local acitivities, somewhat he was like our local friend. He also gave us a packet of tea for us to enjoy as our accommodation had a tea set. Overall, our bedrooms were very clean and just like a 5 ⭐ stay, bedrooms are complete with toiletries, towels etc and heated beds (simply the best thing for our cold winter night sleeps). With top service quality and great living aura, I fully recommend others to stay in this perfect traditional Xian "vintage home".

Good location (very near chagee,书院街）, inside the shophouses but had 2 flight of stairs before reaching! (The in charge is very friendly and assisted us to manage our luggage down when we were rushing off, and he also helped us to heat up Food!). We gotten a quiet room (fortunately can’t hear any of the bar sound) though room slightly smaller than expected. Unique housing layout, Cleaning of rubbish and bed lining can be more thorough. Recommended!

Amazing stay at Simple Palace! The host, Linda, was very kind and particularly helpful in giving us recommendations about Xi’An. The hotel is situated right below the Wall Of Xi’An, and the rooftop terrace looks directly onto it. The atmosphere within the hotel is very calm and peaceful, I totally recommend.
