SOLHOTEL Nanliujing HOTEL

It's quite a new new hotel walking distance 8-10 mins to the yongningmen MRT. At night this south side of ancient city wall comes alive with pretty lights. Surrounding areas have plenty of eateries.

Very nice hotel with good service. Can add breakfast even after arrival.

They eventually moved me to another room, which was nice, but the first room I got had essentially 0 cellular reception (and for some reason wifi never worked on my phone in China). The other room had a bathtub but I didn't have the time or energy to use it. There were free soda drinks, which is a nice perk, but they weren't refrigerated. I was planning to stay a few days in Xi'An but I tried my luck to find better options (I did).

We had a brief 2 nights stop in a Family room, and i really like this hotel! Staff is VERY kind, polite and helpful. Room is spacious, beds are comfortable. Smart zoning, with a separate faucet and vanity table, toilet and shower. Only downside is the water pump hum, that turns on briefly after you use faucet or shower - not a dealbreaker :-) Good and cosy breakfast area. You would definitely want to try noodles - they are making it on request. Location is also great: old town is just in front of the hotel, and there is a 20:00 Laser show at the gates. Night market is an attraction on its own - vibrant and tasty. Shopping street all the way towards White Goose pagoda. If you travel by train, give approx 40 minutes to get from Xianbei station. Overall - cosy hotel in a lovely place. Highly recommend!!!

Excellent service from Xiaonan! Very helpful for first time tourist to China. Left such a good impression of the Xian people. Thank you for such a warm welcome.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Water and some soft drinks were available in unlimited supply. There are 2 washer cum dryers and a place to hang dry laundry. The snag here is that the machines are heavily utilised so finding it available for use was a bit of a challenge. Location wise, nothing much around it but it is a 15 minutes walk to the metro, malls and area with lots of food and shopping. I do want to call out to the lady who checked us in (I forgot to ask for her name). She is the epitome of excellent service and that made a huge difference to our stay. All hotels should have staff like her.
