From the very moment we stepped foot onto the property, our experience turned into an unfortunate ordeal. Regrettably, the house itself was far from being in a desirable state; to add to our dismay, even the sofa was broken. The pool, which should have been a source of enjoyment, was dishearteningly dirty, and the owner's explanation blaming the wind did little to alleviate our disappointment. Compounding our frustration, the air conditioning in the living room was outdated and non-functional. Contacting the owner for assistance only led to a dismissive response, suggesting we make do with fans or open doors for a breeze. This proved to be the tipping point, as we reminded her that we had paid for a service, and what we were encountering fell far short of acceptable standards. Sadly, the owner's demeanor towards us took a turn for the worse, displaying a noticeable lack of courtesy. Consequently, we felt compelled to abandon the property, opting to secure an alternative farmhouse on the very same day. Eventually, the owner refunded our payment due to our inability to endure the lack of air conditioning. This unfortunate experience has left an indelible mark, ensuring that we will not consider returning to this property. Given the amount we paid, we are fully aware that there are numerous more luxurious options available in Gozo.
