And there are many places to drink tea and rest, using straw sheds as objects to shade the sun and rain, giving people a sense of comfort back to nature. Sitting in the yard, you can see the bamboo raft docking at the end, the green stream gurgling, and the scenery is excellent. We lived in the attic on the third floor, with a tatami bed, which was just right for three girls to live in. It was small and exquisite. Facing the bed was a large window, and outside was a large area of ​​green. It would be very comfortable to sit on the bed and read in a daze. The boss is a very life-oriented person, very enthusiastic. On the first day, seeing that the three of us girls had not returned to the homestay very late, he would call us to pay attention to safety. Every time I saw him, he was smiling, and my heart was warm after greeting him. The tea leaves that we accidentally put in the water bar the day before were also carefully collected by the boss and placed on the bookshelf. It was great! This was the most amazing homestay I have ever experienced. The beautiful mountains, lovely tea, and friendly company (even though I was travelling solo) were great elements for an awesome getaway from the bustling city life. I would like to thank the manager (何姐) and cleaning/cook staff (张姐) for their utmost hospitality. I highly recommend taking a leisurely stay at Wuyishan at Qingyun Mountain Residence!

If you have time to spend in the middle of no where, you should stay for two nights. The morning and dusk are magical and misty. The Chinese gardens are accented with bright red momiji leaves. Climbers decorate the exterior of the hotel. It’s like a setting from a novel. Do note that the front desk may not speak much English and the location is quite far away from city centre. They do provide pickup and drop off from train station or local airport, but you need to call in to arrange for time, which means you need to speak enough Chinese to communicate that.

The next day, I set off to take the bamboo raft. I was told by Wuhan tourists who took the bamboo raft together that bamboo raft tickets could be bought at the bamboo raft ticket office in the morning 😂.
