Afternoon tea was amazing. Finger sandwiches were coronation chicken, egg, salmon with cream cheese and ham with tomato. Served with small jug of tomato soup and warm home made sausage roll (this was amazing) Then served with cakes on tiered plates. This includes two scones each with strawberry jam and clotted cream, chocolate orange tart, flapjack, fruit cake, chocolate eclair and carrot cake. Our waitress was fantastic and tea was free flowing. Beautiful setting for an afternoon tea. Very reasonable price would definitely recommend. Had to box some of the cakes to take away as so much. Great friendly hosts.

Stayed here this weekend , absolutely lovely building , great food , the hosts were very friendly with a good ask for anything attitude, pet friendly with great country views. I reckon it’s a great wedding venue with a nice room , well stocked bar with a nice pint of Guinness 🤣Definitely staying there again. Thanks for the stay 👍👍👍👍

Sunday Lunch was delicious. Each course was beautifully presented with much attention to detail. The restaurant is wonderful, with stunning views. Service was impeccable by Sarah, Sarah and Ben. Thank you so much for a really lovely afternoon.

A lovely warm and friendly greeting. All the staff were professional, attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. My room was very comfortable and quiet. The food was superb, particularly the beef dish that I ate on the last night of my stay. I don't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

22 of us including 4 children came from all over the country and booked in for our annual family reunion. The Hotel rooms were outstanding. Customer service excellent, and the food in the Restaurant delicious. Great countryside location close to Ludstone Hall and RAF Cosford aircraft museum. Well recommended.

Really good: plenty of parking, large well equiped room and bathroom, excellent breakfast. Walking distance from Davenport House wedding venue which was the reason for our visit. We stayed 2 nights and I felt very comfortable there. Only thing we didn't anticipate (and nothing to do with the hotel) was the narrow lanes and lack of a decent mobile (navigation) signal in the surrounding area which caused delays so if you plan to visit and are tight for time then you should allow for this. But it's a lovely comfortable traditional type hotel in lush English countryside which I really liked.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Good menu choice accommodating all family members including vegetarian. Really good quality of meat for the roast and a lovely selection of lots of vegetables. Fantastic value and good service in a beautiful bright dining room. We will return.

We stayed here for one night, we were at a wedding elsewhere. This is a cosy, old fashioned hotel with a lot of charm and character, great location and views. Breakfast was hot and tasty, staff were attentive. Would definitely stay here again if we needed somewhere in the area.

Some might call it old fashioned; we prefer to say traditional. We enjoyed a two night stay of relaxation and recuperation in this perfectly pleasant countryside gem A comfy bed, delicious breakfasts and a bit of banter. What more could one wish? Thank you to David, Sarah and staff for 'ministering' to us so well at The Old Vicarage.
