When I think about the amount of money we have spent here, today made me realise what fundamental and basic management panache is missing. So it's VE 80 event. Absolutely rammed and in anticipation of this, do management open up the function room bar, which is way bigger? No, instead, fools like me queued for 35 minutes at the insufficient small bar which acts as front of house. I scolded my finger because the coffee area isn't big enough to house trays. I had to carry my alcohol over to the tray after coffee had been added and the tray toppled over. Its a good job those poor young bar staff are professional in the absence of invisible weak management. You really need a wake up call after today because everyone in that queue was shocked that you hadn't anticipated and managed the logistics of such a large event.

The hotel is lovely with fantastic grounds to walk on. It is blessed with many WW2 memorabilia of the 617 squadron displayed in the original Squadron bar. The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. The food was of exceptional quality, the staff friendly, a special mention of John the duty manager who was wonderful. We loved the place and will be returning.

Stayed here a few times now.we love the ambience of the place and it is steeped in history.the gardens are beautiful.the food is wonderful and the staff are so helpful and smiley. The rooms are comfortable and have all you need for a lovely stay.

This was the first time we have visited the hotel; the overall impression of the hotel and gardens are stunning. The general areas are very grand with well preserved period features. However, the rooms are very dated and badly in need of refurbishing. That said, they are very clean. We couldn't fault the staff, they were attentive and very helpful.

Beds to soft, they was tipping to one side, in lounge area tables wasn’t cleared,was piling up on most tables,allowing dogs in bedrooms,is a no no the place has certainly gone down hill,from previous visits, wouldn’t recommend or return

We had Sunday lunch at the Petwood today and it was great. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Noting previous reviews there was a range of guests from all ages, everyone was really. The food was delicious and they had a good option for children. The building is beautiful and it was lovely to have a walk around the grounds.
