The Station Guest House

We stayed for two nights, having read excellent reviews. Suffice to say we were not disappointed. Great location and easy parking (though I had to get Carla to help me download the Ring-Go app on my phone). The breakfasts were as good as others have said, we even had to ask her to leave some things off!! At night any train noise was minimal, we slept very well. Great view across the river from our room and an easy walk to pubs/restaurants in town. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this guest house for 2 nights. Had a very comfortable room over looking the railway and the river Deben, room 1. Carla was a fantastic host and could not do enough for you. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Full English breakfast was very tasty. I managed to fall over in town and broke my wrist, Carla was so helpful and provided a lively conversation and I could not praise her high enough. Made my trip an exceptional visit.

We spent a couple of nights here as well as having breakfast. A cosy quirky little place, the staff are wonderful and friendly and always eager to help! The beds are comfortable with a beautiful view of the estuary, and the breakfast was scrummy! The bacon was nice and thick and the sausages were very tasty, probably locally sourced! It was cheaper to buy the breakfast inclusive of the room rather than do it separately. Parking was right outside the guest house in the local car park, only £4 for the whole day! The noise from the trains is only background noise and didn't wake us up (that was with the window open!) A 5 minute walk to Tide Mill and the town centre. The sunrise photo was taken just across the station platform!

The station guest house was amazing, very cosy People were so helpful. The room was clean and plenty of tea and biscuits. The bathroom was very nice with a shower & WC. The location was brilliant for our needs. We like bird watching so being so close to the estuary was perfect. Parking was reasonable for all day parking. You are only 5 minutes away from the main shops which is handy. We would recommend the station house, 10 out of 10.

Superb location with easy travel from London. The room had a lovely view over the river and despite being over the Railway Station we had no noise, slept like a log. Carla and team were super friendly and helpful. The Breakfast in the Cafe was lovely, fresh local ingredients, and they were easily able to accommodate a Glute Free breakfast - very welcome! Would highly recommend here if you want to explore the area.

Very happy to have stayed in this great little hotel. Carla was an amazing host and deserves a shout out. Served us our breakfast every morning and welcomed us to our room. Breakfast is a strong point full English or vegetarian and some other choices. Made for you very nice. Rooms are spotless nice beds very nice cleaning lady who asked us every morning if we had any wishes. Nice personal feeling. Location is very convenient on top of the Woodbridge train station on the Ipswich line. And no the trains are nothing. They are hourly and stop at about 11 pm and first one is about 7 am. When they do arrive it’s a small vibration for about 20 seconds. It’s nothing. Woodbridge town is about 5 blocks walk 10 min straight up from the station. Many choices eateries coffee places restaurants and many shoppes including a Co Op . It’s older building so there’s steps but rooms are very nice with new showers that are not those little tiny ones you can barely fit in. Very much recommend Station House really a well ran business people are fantastic.
