The Windhoek Luxury Suites

Regretfully we spent only 1 night in this property. Rooms and facilities are spotless clean, breakfast is exceptional and staff very friendly and helpful

A comfortable, clean place to stay when starting or ending your tour of Namibia. The receptionist booked us dinner at Stellenbosch across the road where we had a lovely meal in the courtyard. Breakfast next morning was in the same place and a nice way to start the day. The small garden is full of birds and very green. It would have been nice to have had tissues and proper shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. We also needed more coffee and tea sachets. A pleasant enough place to stay overnight.

The whole hotel has the theme of winery…each building was named under a wine. The outlook didn’t seem to be too appealing for me. Reception closed at 7pm when we arrived…..too bad for the two of us (both adults) sharing the room , we were given only one key (even we requested, porter said receptionist left already….very inconvenient because u need the key card to open the electric back gate to go to the restaurant and return ! The receptionist wasn’t friendly, in fact very very rude to customers…..the worst in our whole trip in Namibia (consider this hotel being either the first stop or the last stop of the trip in this country….she ruined either a good first impression of the country, or the fond memories we had collected during our trip here!!!) WiFi was strong. Room was spacious enough with a small patio outdoors (ground floor rooms). There were 6 USB chargers which were really handy. However, the toilet seat cover kept falling on our back when we sat on it, and that was very annoying and not hygienic (room Merlot M2)! Breakfast and dinner were in the restaurant Stellenbosch across the road (using room card to unlock back gate). Breakfast (our day was a la carte) was ok….a bit slow….guess it would be nicer if we had come on a day with buffet BF. Dinner was very so so….the fried calamari was the only tasty dish… the main we ordered was Hake…which came out to be just fish and chips …and the mango dessert was missing mango….so most of us were quite disappointed.
