I so wanted to rate this beautiful little place more highly. Unfortunately, a not so great night's sleep let it down. I was in the lovely Magnolia room with my friend and we could not find any other fault, however the green safety lights at the top of the stairs and bathroom (the door of which wouldn't stay closed) caused a lot of light pollution, along with light from outside despite blinds being fully drawn. With that being said, the whole place is just beautiful, clean and truly unique. Our room was definitely a home from home with a very comfy chair, plenty of books and very comfy beds. We were given clear instructions for check in and out and no staff were needed which made the process super quick and easy. We met the lovely Kate in the morning who was very friendly and helpful, there ready to answer any questions or respond to requests. There was plenty of delicious food and drink for breakfast. Aside from the poor night's sleep, everything else was perfect! I'd return, but would be sure to bring an eye mask next time. Thank you Lynne and co.

If you are expecting the ‘nurturing and uplifting’ experience promised on the website whilst sipping filtered water from ‘sacred geometric glassware’, I fear you’ll be disappointed. The house is quirky with some lovely furniture and artwork and our room was immaculately clean with a very comfortable bed. Very tiny en-suite shower room. The website says there is parking but be aware that you can’t pull up outside to drop bags. The road is very busy and there are just four parking places opposite which seem permanently taken. Car parking is a few hundred yards up the road. The B&B is self-entry - which is very convenient - through the Seed Cafe. I don’t believe this has been open for some time so no-one around. Once in the room we only had one pillow each and no bedside light on one side. We texted our contact who didn’t respond (we later discovered she was unwell and she responded later) but saw someone in the next door Seed Shop who found the owner, Ms Franks, for us. She appeared and found pillows and light but, sadly, not a smile nor a warm welcome. That was the last we saw of anyone. Again, no-one around in the morning and we passed on the two croissants which had been in the residents lounge since we arrived the previous afternoon and the instant coffee. I hate to leave poor reviews but this just isn’t what it is promising to be - perhaps manage expectations a little better. So, at £120 for bed and breakfast, we sadly couldn’t recommend this place.
