We arrived after 3pm after a long drive from the middle of France. We made sure it was after 3 as last year we were in a long line of campers waiting to enter the site and the narrow access caused real problems. The site is due to close tomorrow. We drove in to see the closed sign! We had to try to back out of the narrow entrance and to negotiate the road works outside. It is terrible that the closure date was inaccurate on the website. Nice well laid out site with good clean basic facilities. Close to beach and town. Lovely French bread delivery every morning. Make sure you’ve got 25€ cash for shower key which is returned. I’ve stayed here a good few times and always enjoyed it.

We arrived in Wimereux on a Sunday around 5.30pm - we hadn't booked a campsite but headed down the coast and found Wimereux and this nice municipal campsite. The campsite was really quiet despite being only a short stroll into a busy little town with lots of restaurants etc. Very close to the beach - the northside being dog friendly. The pitches were large and well maintained and the facilities were decent. The site was quite expensive compared to other municipal campsites - but that will be due to the cracking transit location for the channel tunnel. Also the 25 euro deposit for a shower token is a bit strange but not a major hassle.

The receptionist refused to speak English even though I had heard her speak a little to her colleague ! We were invited to a free drink but it consisted of a French speech for about 45 minutes. We couldn’t understand a word, and my pup was getting antsy so my husband took him outside.! I explained that I didn’t understand anything so asked for my drink but she refused stating I would have to wait til the speech finished. We were made to feel most unwelcome. I don’t think everyone should speak English by any means but I tried French and the receptionist was just rude !

Accueil glacial et absence totale de courtoisie, on a clairement eu l’impression de déranger. Bloc sanitaire mal entretenu et peu hygiénique. Très décevant.

Camping met ruime plaatsen aan de rand van het dorp. Mooie uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te verkennen. Helaas is de receptie niet echt vriendelijk, zegt amper iets. Gaat pas om 9 uur open dus als je vroeg weg wilt kun je de douche badge niet inleveren. Hiervoor betaal je 25 euro borg cash!! Sanitair wat verouderd en schoonmaak laat ook wat te wensen over. Zelf wc papier meenemen. Wel dagelijks de bakker met verse broodjes. Dicht bij het strand en het centrum, supermarkt in winkelstraat, ongeveer 5 minuten fietsen. Verder prima stek voor een paar dagen.

Deuxième séjour dans ce camping. Nous le recommandons chaudement pour sa situation près de la plage, la qualité de l'accueil et les emplacements entretenus, propres où il suffit juste de placer le camping-car. Un merci particulier aux dames d'entretien qui font un boulot difficile, compte tenu parfois de l'affluence, mais aussi sûrement de la mauvaise éducation de certains. Merci de les féliciter pour nous ! Nous reviendrons, c'est sûr, dans votre bel endroit. Belle saison à vous tous ! Chantal et Benoît Zeller-Torfs (Herve - Belgique).

En camping car ce weekend de Pâques de vendredi à mardi matin.... Découvert ce camping municipal en cherchant par hasard sur le net... Réservation en ligne très simple... Bien accueilli par un personnel agréable... très beaux emplacements avec électricité et eau...douche gratuite ( compris dans le tarif ) .... sanitaires un peu vétustes mais propres dans l'ensemble... possibilité pour les campings caristes de vidanger eaux grises et WC chimique et de faire le plein d' eau...très belle plaine de jeux pour les enfants.. Camping bien situé à environ 800 mètres de la plage.. On y retournera....

Accueil correct, nous on laissait nous installer alors que nous somme arrivé en avance. Mobil Home très propre et moderne. Se trouve à quelques minutes à pied de la mer et des magasins de souvenir. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour en famille.
