The Peter Herdic Inn

This is a beautifully appointed Victorian mansion with excellent bathrooms and gorgeous space. Lots of history. Walking down “Millionaires Row” was a treat. Plenty of pubs and eateries in walking distance. Easy access to the highway for your trip home.

We spent two nights in this 1890 mansion whilst traveling through the area. It was quite nice, the room well appointed with period furniture, rugs, and wall hangings. The kitchen was cheery with plenty of snacks, a refrigerator with an ice maker, and a coffee making apparatus. We spent time relaxing over libations in the parlor, enjoying the overall Gilded Age ambiance. We ate our evening meals next door at the Peter Herdic House Restuarant — delicious! We will return, and I hardily recommend for the discerning traveler.

My wife and I had a date night eating at the Peter Herdic house and then stayed at the Inn. The food was well prepared and the service was great. The room was clean, quiet, and very well restored in the period. The inn keeper clearly put time and effort into this property Recommend to anyone local or out of town as a get away and to support a local business.

My wife and I were looking for a stopping point to stay over in PA on our way from Philadelphia to Buffalo, NY. By chance we stumbled across the Peter Herdic House. What a gem!! The house is a lovingly restored mansion from the 1800's. The restoration gave careful attention to the period detail while updating it to a very comfortable hotel for the present day. Entering it feels like coming home, if you lived in a spectacular Victorian mansion located on a road with many other equally stunning homes. There are many comfortable places to relax in the Inn including the front sitting room and a lovely back deck under the shelter of the cool wisteria. The innkeeper Sheila was incredibly warm and welcoming as were the rest of the staff. She also communicated flawlessly even before we had arrived smoothing the check in process and letting us know about the complimentary items such as snack, wine and beers that might be found in the kitchen. She said many times, "make yourself at home". And it felt like that. We also had dinner at the Peter Herdic restaurant which is located in the Italianate villa next door. The meal was great and the waitstaff was equally professional. I cannot recommend the Peter Herdic Inn highly enough. We will be recommending it to all of our friends in the area and we hope to return again sometime in the future.

Perfect place to stay! We were attending the Little League World Series and the location was very convenient! Leslie is a fabulous host with plenty of info about the surrounding area and things to do. The Inn is beautiful! Next door is considered the best restaurant in Williamsport and downtown is a short walk away!
