Upon arriving at the resort, we were skeptical about spending a week in what looked to be an older hotel. We were also concerned that the resort was so close to a major intersection. All changed when we checked in and went to the room. The desk staff were very thorough and quick in checking us in. The rooms were surprisingly comfortable. We stayed in a two bedroom unit, that had updated amenities. The full kitchen offered all the necessary appliances, pots, pans etc., to be expected at a resort. Three televisions with a wide variety of television stations. Two full bathrooms with plenty of hot water and thick towels. All good. There few other guests there, so noise was not an issue. As this was styled as a "resort", any future guests must know that the staff does not clean the rooms during your stay. The will exchange towels and quickly replace anything you need, but they really try to stay out of the rooms. While this May be an issue for some, we spent most of our time at Colonial Williamsburg. Most timeshare owners who are looking for an affordable resort very near Colonial Williamsburg, will find this to be an affordable gem.
