The entire town of Wildwood had no electricity due to a fire at the substation. We did not know until checking in for two days for my three-year-old son's birthday. We keep getting incorrect information from the hotel staff about when the power would be fixed. After a day and a half of staying/sleeping in our air-conditioned car due to NO room air conditioning, no hot water, NO use of our refrigerator/kitchen, and NO lights, we turned in our keys and drove 100 miles home. It was, of course, not the hotel's fault, but the communication from them was poor and inconsistent. The hotel would NOT refund our prepaid money at the time of our arrival/check-in or when we left. The best that they were willing to do is a possible credit for a future stay. WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR RESPONSE.
