Broomfield House

Location is perfect. Literally a 4 minute stroll to the centre. The room was lovely and clean and plenty big enough. With lots of choice of tea coffee etc. Small fridge is an excellent idea. Comfortable bed and pillows. Shower was lovely with huge shower head. Lovely guest house overlooking the park opposite. Plenty of free parking round the corner next to the park. We will definitely return

Absolutely lovely. We stayed two nights and it was perfect. The owners very kindly put us in a bigger room than we'd booked which was a lovely surprise. The bed was comfortable, the bedroom spacious and the bathroom had everything we needed. Great views out over the park, a helpful guest book with recommendations of where to eat and drink and just a few minutes walk down into town. Definitely recommend 👌

Stayed at Broomfield house for the weekend , it was an amazing weekend , We were welcomed by Steve on arrival when we got confused with the key safe , he was very welcoming The room was lovely , tea and coffee facilities available , beds were really comfy and had a lovely view of the park . Had an enormous shower head with rain fall effect which was lovely. Only disadvantage was the stairs but no fault to the house that’s me being unfit lol Steve was always around if needed for anything . Will Definately book again , thank you so much x

Lovely mid-week stay. We normally get a cottage for the week, so this was a novelty for us. Think we were the only room taken on the time we were there, so got an upgrade from room 4 to room 5 which absolutely suited my wife as she loves a bath. The room was comfortable with a sofa and chair and well equipped with mini fridge should you want to store anything chilled. The road outside can get a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper, but we managed fine. My only niggle is that the bathroom was a bit small with the bath in there so little room for putting your toiletries out and drying towels, but I am being picky here. This is an old house, as are most of the rooms in the centre of Whitby, as such it will show signs of age, but it is close to the town and the harbour and the piers and everything else Whitby has to offer. I love a Premier Inn with their straight walls etc, but if you want anything like that in Whitby and many other towns you will be looking at needing to drive in. Which leads me to parking. We had no problem parking for free by the park for the whole of are stay. This may be a bit more difficult in the busy times but free parking is around if you know where to look, I'm sure the owners will help. Really pleased with our stay and a good price as we booked direct with the hotel and got a reduction. Will be the first place we try if we are in the position to go back for a short break.

Because of a misunderstanding of the vehicle parking facilities at the hotel premises and that our vehicle had to be park some long distance away from the Broomfiel Hose in a unsecured area on the street we decided that the risk to vandalism was to high and so decided to cancel our accommodation however the proprietor was understandable about our situation and kindly agreed to refund the full payment that my wife paid for the 2 nights accomdations.

We spent a weekend at Broomfield House. We found free parking straight away after receiving a detailed email from Steve. We were also informed we could check in early as the room was ready. The guest house is in a perfect position, literally 2 minutes walk to the bus and train station and the town centre. The double room on the 3rd floor was perfect! Really comfy bed and super soft pillows. The extras in the wardrobe included a hair dryer, fan, ironing board and iron. The Google speaker is a great touch as well. The bathroom is outside of the bedroom door, no landing to walk across. The dressing gowns for modesty are a great idea!! There was plenty of tea and coffee, with milk in the fridge. The host, Steve, kept in touch from the minute we booked until we arrived home. Excellent service, excellent guest house, excellent weather!
