Good little hotel on quiet street not far from sea front Serviced accommodation NOT a hotel Well worth staying at rooms comfortable and clean with all you need for a stay

When we booked, we booked bed and breakfast, The booking confirmation clearly said 1 twin room and breakfast at The Granby with the voucher that was left in our room, when we arrived, we had a double room and there was no voucher for breakfast. We were moved to another room and were told that the breakfast policy had changed, but no one had let us know. We were told that we could help ourselves to breakfast that was in the hall downstairs which isn't what we had paid for. At the time of arrival on the Friday there was a carton of milk in a fridge that wasn't working and that was all, on the top were some cereals, cereal bars, bread roll with chocolate chips in (which were nearly out of date) and apples. This isn't what I would call breakfast and it is no good for anyone with special dietary requirements like gluten, sugar or dairy free as there was no choice. By Saturday afternoon the fridge had been filled up with bottles of water, orange juice and yogurts and the fridge switched on, but by Sunday the fridge wasn't working again and the yogurts and fruit juice that we had on Monday morning were no longer chilled. The housekeeping was poor, on arrival the first thing that you saw was a dusty dresser and mirror in the hall that you could write your name in and everywhere was generally dusty. It also said in our documentation that if you wanted anything to ask a member of housekeeping, but we never saw anyone.

Choose the side near 199 steps For 100 pounds plus per night i d expected something a bit more decent. Room wasn t cleaned, all place run down and very very tired. From pict looks like a little jewel. It is not. Better if u stay near the 199 steps, that is a different charming atmosphere!

Room 1 Thoroughly enjoyed the stay we had in Whitby. Hotel is in an unmatched location, when we inevitable return in the future we will be placing the LilyRose hotel at the top of our list.

Quick and easy to check in This is a keyless accommodation. We received an email with the codes for the front door and our room, and parking instructions. It's £3 for 48hrs which is good and thete is plenty of parking nearby, although it was off season so maybe more difficult in tbe summer. The room was small but clean and comfortable with a nice shower. We were only staying one night but it would be fine for a couple of nights..
