The George B&B

This is a fantastic B&B. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, and the bed was comfortable. Location just 10 min walk to centre of Weymouth beach. Breakfast was delicious. All such good value for money. Added bonus of free car parking too. The extra special touch of a birthday cake, card and ballon in our room, was such a lovely surprise! Thank you for making my birthday special. We will definitely be back.

Our recent stay at this establishment provided a mixed experience. On the positive side, the room was impeccably clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, a couple of factors impacted our stay negatively. First, there was a constant buzzing noise, possibly from the bathroom fan, which proved a bit distracting. Additionally, the location on the main road meant there was occasional disturbance from loud cars passing by. Furthermore, we found the breakfast to be underwhelming initially. Served cold with single items on the plate, it lacked the variety we anticipated. However, it’s worth noting that on the second day of our stay, the breakfast was a pleasant surprise as it was served nice and hot. In addition, the friendly staff made a very positive impact on my overall stay. Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that the central heating was switched off, impacting the room’s comfort level. In conclusion, while the stay had positive elements, addressing the noise issue, improving breakfast options consistently, and ensuring climate control would contribute to a more satisfying guest experience. The warmth and friendliness of the staff, however, added a significant positive note to my overall stay.

Very welcoming and helpful owner and staff, always cheerful and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was bright and well furnished and spotlessly clean with the room being cleaned daily. The dining room was bright and welcoming, and there was a choice of everything for Breakfast, including free top-ups of drinks and toast - the breakfast was very substantial and delicious! On the whole, an extremely comfortable and enjoyable week's stay, and would definitely stay here again. Well done, Mike and the team!

Stayed for 1 night, how I wish it had been more! I was greeted by Mike who is lovely, he even offered to carry my luggage which was nice. I stayed in Room 8 which was right at the top of the house. Beautifully decorated and coordinated which I loved. The bed was so comfy, literally wanted to take it home and had a fantastic nights sleep. I woke up to the smell of breakfast and went for mine! It was gorgeous, a Buffet then a hot breakfast. Special points for serving proper toast! I hate underdone toast so I was delighted! I had a lovely stay and when in Weymouth again have asked my company to book here! Absolutely superb.

The George is a lovely B&B in Weymouth with helpful, friendly staff and a great breakfast, cooked to order with fresh pastries too. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The B&B is an easy walk to the beach and restaurants or a quick bus ride if the feet aren’t willing. The driveway is easy to miss.

Have just spent 4 nights at this truly excellent guest house. Plenty parking made a good first impression along with a warm welcome from the owner. Our room was spotlessly clean with a spacious en suite. Tea and coffee facilities in the room were welcomed. There have been many comments about the high quality of the breakfast and these comments are spot on. The owner was previously a chef and this shows...a superbly cooked English breakfast served by the friendly staff. The George is 20 mins or so walk from the town centre so well located. Book this guest house...as Guest Houses go this is one of the best.

I spend a weekend here each year with a group of friends and have always been well looked after. I'd been a little concerned about the impact of the recent change of ownership, but needn't have worried. We received a warm welcome by the friendly and efficient new team. The whole place was clean and tidy, and one minor ****** was very rapidly dealt with. The cooked breakfast was good, generous and rapidly delivered following our orders, while other options were also available. Another very enjoyable weekend, and I'll definitely return next year.

What a great find!! Great location 15 minutes walk to beach and bars. Very clean room with everything that you need for a short stay, excellent hosts will definitely stay again!! The breakfast fabulous!! Great parking, relaxing stay.Thank you so much
