Very run down place. Nice pool and nice staff but the rest is a no. Lots of people living here, maybe because there aren't any rentals so it's very noisy at night time and also during the day. People smoke outside and the smoke comes through under the door. Smoke alarm came on twice in our room at night, had to take batteries out. No blankets or a hair dryer in the room. Room looks very old and dirty. Furniture and the bed spread is very dirty and have lots of stains. The remote for the TV could only do channels no volume. You also hear cars from the main street. Wouldn't stay again.

It was worse place we have ever stayed in. 1. Walked into unit strong smell of urine. 2. Bathroom was disgusting. (photos attached.) 3. It felt like it had not been opened for a while. 4. Husband was locked in the bathroom for over an hour until they found a locksmith. 5. The kettle blew hot water everywhere ( we thought we overfilled it ) The next morning it did the same with me. The kettle was changed for another one. 6. The noise around the place at night kept us awake. 7. ONE THING THE RECEPTIONIST/ MANAGER WAS VERY HELPFUL WITH TRYING TO FIXING SOME PROBLEMS. THANK YOU MADDI. I will now finish up as you will understand what I mean, otherwise I could ramble on & on.

I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. DEFINITELY WOULDN'T STAY THERE AGAIN. The tarrif charged was $140 per night. They claim a 3 to 4 star rating but this is TOTAL RUBBISH. It is places like this that give genuine accommodation in Cairns a bad name. The place looked great from the outside however upon obtaining the key and making my way to the room the real picture emerged. It became quite clear that this place relies primarily on supplying emergency accommodation. The general appearance of the room I was given was very dated, generally grubby and numerous faults which would not have taken a lot of TLC to overcome appeared to be totally ignored. Noisy other residents were evident all night, empty beer cans were left lying around in various places, external ash trays were not emptied. I stayed one night and then went elsewhere. When returning the key on checkout the advertised reception time was 9am but at 9.30am it was still not open. I managed to call an after hours number and someone came and opened up. I presented the lady with a list of failings but the impression given was that of "Tell someone who cares".

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Beggars knocking on door at night. Fights outside. Worms in the pool, broken lights. Broken tiles, peeling paint, holes in walls, broken doors. Terrible bed and pillows. Made us pay $440 extra because they had squatters who broke the room we booked. Police constantly there. Manager lied and told us different stories every day. Felt very unsafe. Locked everything up when we left the room. We were the only guests. The rest were emergency housing. Almost got mugged getting dinner. Never go out alone. Worst hotel ever.

The place was filthy, shower doors were disgusting, plug holes filthy, bedding did not fit the bed and had not been washed for weeks. There was a colony of ants in the bathroom, tv needs to be replaced, the floor had not been washed for days black feet after ten minutes. The cupboards were not even clean little own the contents, the top of the bench was covered in grease. They don’t know what a tea towel is little own what it does. Never again.

Looks nothing like the pictures or as described! Got in at 2 am with 3 extremely tired children to a room that had bunk beds with no safety rail, water stained mattresses, ants crawling EVERYWHERE mould in the poor excuse of a kitchen, air con did not work fans did not work, no screens on windows so that kids can open the windows and fall out( placed on upper level when we asked for ground level) Permant residents in room next door with rubbish and smoke butts littered all over the balcony . Daylight revealed a unuseable pool full of slime and god knows what else. Whole building smelt of ****. And in the middle of a industrial estate. Management gave some money back but not all. Avoid at all costs it is a absolute disgrace! Luckily managed to find much nicer accomadation at the pullman - MUCH NICER:)

Oh goodness where to start, DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The bunk beds were unsafe, they had no side rails so we had to put their mattresses on the floor. The air-con was too overpowering to leave on overnight. A broken toilet was found at 2am when we arrived but then got fixed efficiently. The Queen mattress was AWFUL and pivotted around the room. ********* can be smelt throughout the complex. There were no shower doors, so water went EVERYWHERE. The neighbouring room's water pipe's could be heard SCREECHING through the walls at 4am and constantly woke our kids up. No carparks left at the end of the day for non-tradesman vehicles. Cockroaches came up sink overnight. Hope that helps people looking for options.

Stayed here last weekend of May, went through ***********. Booked 4 rooms, however upon arrival, 1 room was missing front door due crisis accommodation recipient not wanting to leave. It took 2 police officers and a divvy van to remove said recipient. Manager offered us that very room, however advised us that the area in which the room was located was surrounded by other crisis accommodation recipients. Was then given an upgrade which we didn't ask for, however bed layouts was not what we required and booked for, we were forced to book another room. No discount, when it was the motel that stuffed up. The smell of ******** permeated throughout the area. They did not deliver what they had promised. The female manager dodged us for 2 days. Not safe area to go out at night alone. Pool disgusting. Never again, would do zero stars if I could.
