Not a pleasant stay• Stayed one night at this caravan park. Traveled around a lot of Australia from coast to outback & quite remote rest-stops/truck stop accomodation. This was definitely the worst stay I have had, the worst value for money, and felt the most unsafe. Biggest qualm was the close proximity of the Asbestos fence. Ive always been understood that asbestos fencing should be well maintained (painted and no broken bits). The fence was not painted and there were broken bits. The reception advised it is all up to spec - maybe there are differences between NSW and WA for Asbestos safety guidelines. Still felt uncomfortable being so close to the fence, especially near the bits that were broken. When asking if we could change we were told everywhere else was taken even though there were plenty of empty spots (powered but we had nothing but a tent so would of not used power) around the park away from the fence. Facilities were generally fine but quite rundown and not cleaned to the best. Usually not a big issue for myself when trying to stay in budget accomodation but with the price we paid expected perhaps a little better. Also not a major issue for myself but heads up it is a caravan park with semi-permanent residents and others being supported to stay. Observed fights occurring. Not a big issue for us but maybe for family travelling something they might not want to be around on a family holiday. Personally would recommend to stay elsewhere. It is situated conveniently near wineries etc but not worth staying here even with that in mind.
