Overcombe House

Overcombe House was a true delight in a beautiful area. Our hosts David and John were very welcoming, kind and very helpful with suggestions for meals out and places to see and things to do. My friend and I both agreed that they had put a lot of thought into the rooms, which had very comfortable beds. The hospitality was wonderful in our room with Green and Black chocolates, delicious biscuits, tea, hot chocolate and best of all (for my friend), a Nespresso coffee machine. I cannot praise the breakfasts enough, so much choice , with delicious local produce, all beautifully prepared. There was also fresh fruit salad, cereals and Skyr yoghurt. The scrambled eggs were perfect. They really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had all we needed. There was also scrumptious marmalade made by John. We had an amazing view from our bedroom window. Overcombe House is somewhere I would like to return to again and again. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Jan Lord.

Wonderful hosts. Very friendly and accommodating. Lovely spacious and airy room with gorgeous views. Breakfast was delicious. About an hour and 20 min drive to the Eden Project. Close to The Drake Manor Pub…lovely food and close to Garden House. 20 min drive to Plymouth so great location

We had a brilliant stay at Overcombe, David and John couldn’t do enough for us and were so friendly and welcoming. The rooms had everything we needed, the beds were really comfortable and the breakfasts delicious. It was a perfect location for us as we were visiting relatives nearby. Thank you to them both, we shall be back.

Everything was excellent. David and John were very friendly, check in without any problem at a very late time. everything was verry clean. The surrounding ist quiet. We will come again, if we will visit our freind again.

David and John have a wonderful place here. Everything is top notch, the room was large, with a great view across Dartmoor. It was super clean and very comfortable. The hospitality tray had coffee bags and fresh milk was kept in flasks downstairs for each room to collect as required, no fiddly sachets of coffee or tiny pots of milk to be seen. Breakfast was a delight, plenty of choice, the fruit salad was amazing, strawberries, cherries, blueberries and melon, not an apple in sight. Both David and John are friendly people who want you to enjoy your stay, and quite frankly you would be hard pressed not to enjoy staying here. It’s a gem of a place and would be top of my list of places to stay, should I return to the area. Thank you both for a great stay.

What a lovely place to stay not far from the Lovely village of Horrabridge run buy two caring people David & John who will try and accommodate you in every way with any needs they can provide to make your stay enjoyable rooms are amazing with on suite and the breakfast is one not to be missed. car park is a bit small but don’t let that put you off
